  1. Okay I just wanted to check and make sure, I'm not rooted yet but I will be going down that route soon.
  2. I'm getting an error when pressing reset connection. It comes up with that the reset failed and that root permissions are required for this action for android versions 4.2 and beyond. Never had this error before on 4.4 or 4.4.1, only showing up on 4.4.2
  3. just got the Surface case from Seidio, has a nice firm fit on the Nexus with no effect on R/F performance. Going to see how it performs with the wireless charger.
  4. I agree, when I had my Evo it would have the worst signal for LTE unless it was very close to a tower. Now with my Nexus 5, I'm able to hold a strong signal in areas where when I had the Evo, it would have a weak or fallback to enhanced 3G
  5. just updated mine through ADB as well, gotta say Google certainly fixed a lot of the problems
  6. The seidio black cases and holster are now available, with other colors in development http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CSR3LGN5K-BK
  7. No LTE in downtown, only managing to get evdo for the past week or so. Don't know if TD-LTE is being rolled out but something is possibly up.
  8. just got my e-mail this morning from amazon, ps4 was shipped out 6 hrs ago, can't wait!
  9. never mind, I found where the disabled bands were located. Totally forgot about looking there.
  10. how do you turn on the other bands exactly? I haven't seen an option for that, I thought they were off by default until Sprint flipped the switches on the 800/2600mhz?
  11. Will sensorly be mapping the TD LTE network "Sprint Spark" in the future?
  12. not that I'm aware of so far, it connects to LTE fine and drops to eHRPD if it loses the signal. On my EVO it would mostly stay on eHRPD or a really bad LTE signal (around the -110 to -117 range). But with the Nexus 5, the LTE signal is between -97 and -105. They are rolling out TD-LTE (Sprint Spark) for Orlando as well.
  13. Handset: Nexus 5 Location: Winter Park, FL. 32792 No issues, seems to hold an LTE signal with consistent speed tests in the 13-15mbps range. Defaults to eHRPD in non-upgraded areas.
  14. joining the club, got rid of my evo and got the Nexus 5 today. Love the phone, its crazy fast, and I get a far better signal over LTE than the evo ever could.
  15. Well, just got back from the Sprint store...with a new Nexus 5! Got rid of the EVO. Let me just say, this thing is a BEAST, gets a better signal than the Evo LTE could anyday.
  16. That's how it is for me, I stay connected to LTE all the way from my home to my office and back but once I get into my house, dead zone - except for my bedroom window, get about 5mbps down from there.
  17. This is the cell tower for my area, which lies within a Duke Energy substation, which is behind a CVS. Walked over and did some speed testing, which was within the 3-5mbps range
  18. Nah the EVO LTE doesn't get LTE 800, probably CDMA 800 though, that's why I'm gonna go Nexus 5 when it comes out as its tri-band. I have noticed the call clarity change with the HD voice, it sounds so damn clear. Gonna take a walk over to the tower in a bit and do some testing.
  19. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4922-sprint-launching-new-lte-cities-in-the-coming-weeks/ this would be so awesome if Orlando launches!
