  1. VZW does not do carrier aggregation -- its band 13 infrastructure is too old. And I have seen no indication that the Nexus 6 supports carrier aggregation at all, not even for AT&T. AJ
  2. How in the world would an engineering screen indicate if "carrier aggregation was around"? Are you using the Nexus 6 on Sprint? It does not support band 41 carrier aggregation. AJ
  3. When you write "lol," just know that we are laughing at you, not laughing with you. AJ
  4. I stated in a previous post -- also quoted a few posts above -- that the APK I would supply would be from a Nexus 5. AJ
  5. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bk1084fmy55hptz/SprintHiddenMenu.apk?dl=0 AJ
  6. For engineering screen access, if someone wants to try sideloading the SprintHiddenMenu.apk off of the Nexus 5, let me know. I can supply the APK. My guess is that it will not work, since the Nexus 5 is an LG handset. An alternative might be to pull the equivalent hidden APK off of a Sprint Moto X. AJ
  7. That is just the hidden Testing.apk. It is present and accessible on every Android device from at least the past several years. AJ
  8. The Nexus 5 on Sprint could be SPC/MSL locked. That seems to be not the case with the Nexus 6. In fact, at least one report indicated that it uses CSIM authentication, in which case, programming codes for CDMA1X are no longer needed. And unless you tried every one of the hundreds of AnyCut activities listed, you cannot be sure that none are related to engineering screens. If you are looking for just the labels "engineering" or "debug," then you may be overlooking other possibilities. AJ
  9. That means the SPC/MSL is null. The handset is not locked. AJ
  10. Well, I refuse to believe that "there was nothing listed." If you followed my AnyCut instructions, there should have been hundreds of activities listed. It is just a matter of finding the right one(s). Many of those hidden APKs are cryptically named, and the names seem to vary by OEM, Android version, etc. AJ
  11. That is the only dialer code you have tried? Not ##DEBUG# or *#*#DEBUG#*#*? AJ
  12. Yeah, if you got split up, you would just keep listening for the extraordinarily annoying chirps heard across five store aisles, and the two of you would find your way back together. Kind of like a homing beacon. No, no, no, most of the rest of us do not miss Direct Connect at all. Uncouth people wandering a store while talking on the phone are bad enough, but having a half duplex speakerphone conversation punctuated by repeated chirps was beyond the pale. AJ
  13. First, what dialer codes have you tried? And do you have a Sprint SIM in the handset? Many other SIMs block some/all dialer codes. Second, go to Google Play and download AnyCut. Open the app drawer and switch to widgets. Select AnyCut, then drag and drop to an open spot on a home screen. Next, from the menu, select Activity. Scroll down through the hundreds to see what is available. Look for anything labeled "Debug" or "Engineering." AJ
  14. Well, aren't you special? I have not even touched any of my prime rib -- because I have yet to finish my chicken cordon bleu. AJ
  15. That is unfortunate. But it may be due to a power, backhaul, or property owner issue beyond Sprint's control. First world problems... AJ
  16. Come on, David. Get Chuck Norris on the hotline. There is a Sprint "tower" down. AJ
  17. Failure to launch. Wake me up when November (or even December) ends... AJ
  18. Ah, that is not the Cleveland-Akron market. It is the Youngstown-Warren market, where Sprint did acquire a different Revol license -- the PCS E block license. So, your screenshot is accurate. Apparently, Sprint is not screwing around with this Revol spectrum. Youngstown is basically an armpit, a heavily depressed area that is losing population like crazy. But, regardless of market prospects, Sprint is rolling this acquired spectrum right into band 25 LTE. AJ
  19. Is that like saying, "I live in the small village where the serial killer was born"? Fried food. Butter. Custard. I wonder how many people have met their end largely because of Culver's. AJ
  20. That will be funny if T-Mobile does get "cockblocked" again in Cincinnati, where it cannot deploy AWS-1 band 4 LTE without moving all W-CDMA to PCS band 2. And, even then, T-Mobile has only 10 MHz of AWS-1 spectrum in Cincinnati. So, T-Mobile desperately needs AWS-3 spectrum there. AJ
  21. Were both of those screenshots taken in the Cleveland-Akron market? The second appears to be an anomaly, as that LTE carrier is centered in the PCS E block, which is licensed to T-Mobile. AJ
