  1. The sample size -- representative or not -- is statistically significant. But do we want to hear negative impressions from the madding crowd? No, we do not. And therein lies the rub. Certain factions seem to like highlighting Sprint's difficulties. And those negators bring into question why S4GRU does what it does for no profit. AJ
  2. Leave it to jamesinclair to be a Debbie Downer. Imagine that. Accentuate the negative. Eliminate the positive. Sometimes, I think this guy wishes that Sprint and S4GRU would just go away. AJ
  3. I should have invested in used Nexus 5 futures several months ago. I could have been rich, bitch! AJ
  4. Coming up on the next episode of "This Old Device" with your host, Robert Vila... AJ
  5. You don't have to go to the new users thread, but you can't stay here. Closing time. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6631-motorolagoogle-nexus-6-users-thread/ AJ

  7. Folks, if you reply directly after another post with massive images, you do not need to quote those massive images -- or even that post at all. We will get the drift. Capisce? AJ
  8. For some cost insight into why Sprint's recent rate plans have dropped monthly roaming quotas from 300 MB to 100 MB, see this article: http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/att-we-paid-027mb-roaming-2014-more-average-t-mobile/2014-11-17 Even if Sprint is paying less than T-Mobile is paying per roaming MB, a 100 MB quota can still exceed $10 in roaming costs to Sprint. AJ
  9. Enrollment in the Jelly of the Month Club? The gift that keeps on giving the whole year? AJ
  10. With Dave's gigantic phone obsession, I thought that you were going to post this... AJ
  11. Yep, I do know shit from Shinola -- and Key Lime Pie from Lollipop. AJ
  12. I am not sure if you got the pun. Kit Kat? Snickers? Maybe even Milky Way? AJ
  13. You may be carbon based. But not me. I have already evolved to be silicon based. AJ
  14. The "A" in AOptix must be for "Alan Parsons." AJ
  15. Are you referring to current and/or former Sprint subs trolling S4GRU -- a la SprintUsers -- and promoting another wireless provider? That has been a clear violation of S4GRU rules from the very beginning. This is the T-Mobile discussion thread, but staff has locked it down once or twice before for chronic rule violations. And if members cannot follow the rules, staff will not hesitate to do likewise again -- possibly even hide the thread from view forever. AJ
  16. Holy lack of capitalization and punctuation, Batman. Is poor writing your super power? AJ
  17. On those counts, I have no idea. FCC OET authorization documents rarely mention foreign band and airlink capabilities -- because they are irrelevant in the US. The only way to test here would be to pop in a foreign SIM and use a kilobuck signal generator -- which is potentially illegal outside of a shielded RF lab. Otherwise, you are left with trial and error once you travel to Canton. AJ
  18. And, see, that is also very useful information. It sounds accurate, too, if referenced to an internal document that mentions Google Play, Sprint, and Motorola. That does not sound like something a low level phone rep would be able to make up. And it mirrors the Nexus 5 experience last year, since T-Mobile purchased handsets were not white listed in the Sprint database. For the record, I was not trying to be confrontational, just trying to get to the point -- because this info needs to be made available ASAP to others who are seeking the Nexus 6 to be activated on Sprint. AJ
  19. Why would you rule that out? Qualcomm baseband modems have supported TD-SCDMA for several years now. AJ
