  1. With more removes than adds does that mean that Sprint is turning off the ability to roam to a bunch of places?

Sure, if you roamed on those networks then indeed you won't anymore.  But I doubt anyone was roaming on those.  And that only applies if there was only one record of that SID in the PRL and now there are none for that SID.

  2. I'll send you guys the bill for the deliverable soon....

This doesn't include the 800 scan order changes as my app doesn't analyze that granular as it would be a report 5 miles long every time.  This is only 25017 to 25018 but the other device series are based off the same core this one was based off.

  3. I just downloaded the app and didn't set up my choice and it works fine tracking it. Still no additional info, maybe after work.

    Sent from my SPH-L900

Label is probably printed and waiting to be packaged. If it shows received info then the PLD file has been uploaded to UPS but the feeder has not been inbouded yet on the local sort.

  4. If you enable Preferences > Status Bar Icons > Hide Duplicate 1X icon, that should only show one status bar icon, even if you have the "Main" and "1X" icons enabled. Is that not happening? Or am I misunderstanding the issue?

EDIT: Ahhh well what I just described _used_ to work.. I just played around with it on my N5, and apparently it done got broke somewhere along the way.. to the bug list it goes.

    -Mike

Thanks.  Another thing that would be nice is an icon to show the PCI in the status bar.  It would only be two icons on most devices.  I'm sure you'll have fun making 504 icons right?

  5. Only thing bad about the Sprint connect is it's the same service as your phone. It's the all the eggs in one basket thing. You have an outage you have no phone at all. A friend of mine was going to get one through AT&T but he has his cell phone through them as well. I ended up getting one through Verizon for him.

There are tons of VOIP providers out there. Some as cheap as $40 a year with tons of minutes and no US long distance charges. I have been using Google Voice for free house phone for a couple years but it's going away in May from what I have read.

  6. Still about 25 sites in my market rocking legacy. Last time we have seen a crew is October. Only one "In Progress" site but it has had the antennas up since February of last year. You would think they would have just used the T1s by now and did the 3g side. I don't see them doing these 25 for at least 6-9 months. According to our market sheet completion estimates based on the current completion rate, RRU installations will be done Jan 2015 and LTE will be on all sites by June 2015.

  7. This may sound silly, but are you using Google Chrome on your mobile device? They have a bandwidth saving setting that may be compressing on that end, too.

I don't have any problems with image quality/resolution on any site I browse on my iPhone 5s using Safari, but occasionally will see a slight quality hit on an image (use interfacelift.com, for example) if I'm in Chrome because it's trying to compress my images.

No, there's a big thread on the Sprint forums about it. Its happening all over the place. I haven't seen it personally yet since I don't use my Sprint service much anymore since it never works.

  8. Maybe those are the sites I'm running into when I try the prl trick for b41 connectivity

You need a good donor site to hand you off into a donut site. Then you have to hold a constant data connection otherwise it kicks you off. A ping session works great.

  9. This is only my assumption from what I've read around the forum, maybe someone can chime in with specifics on the current state of the iphone PRL

    cough cough...Digiblur

All I know is prl does not control LTE. And LTE is controlled by the network. However that works remains a mystery to me.

    Vince

Vince is correct, the PRL doesn't do anything with LTE except one minor thing.  "Should I scan for it in this part of the US or not?"  And that answer is yes in every area of the US.  After that the device gets all its direction and rules from the network.  Even on CSFB devices when connected to the LTE network all the PRL rules go out the window since the network dictates the 1x tunneling as well.

  10. I agree with Digi. I am not in development (I sell it) but one of our best developers does not have a degree.  He is self taught and started his first job right out of high school.  He has told me just because you earn a degree or self taught in this field does not mean you are finished.  Technology changes almost everyday. You have to stay ahead of the game.

Just have to work your way up the ranks as I've done just about everything under the sun it seems from grocery store management, instrumentation work offshore, running fiber, data/voice backhaul from ship to shore, programming, dba, etc.  Sometimes get to do some cool stuff too:

  11. It might be the Ericsson network management filter in action.....

    Probably right on that one..

NV did make a huge difference outside of the downtown congested areas though. I have a single band One and have very good data rates pretty much everywhere. 4g is quick and if I am on 3g it is 1Mbps in a good chuck of the suburbs. I really am surprised how fast LTE speeds fell downtown. It seemed like from what people were saying one week they were great and the next week they were horrible. It had a lot of us scratching our heads trying to figure it out.

Sounds like my area as well. Outskirts of town is fine but anywhere actually in the city is useless. Found this same thing in a few other markets as well.

  12. It's disturbing in either case. :unsure:Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

Someone needs to tell Dan to leave the pom-poms at home then when going to Chicago.

Thanks for the responses guys, haven't followed this market and was curious after hearing the glorious comments on the call today.
