We are starting to pick up Houston LTE signals all the way over here in Austin!

Yes, every tower in Leander is getting upgraded. If you become a member you can follow the thread where we are tracking what towers have been upgraded so far.

I grabbed a few SS on my wife's iPhone 5 this evening. Also tried G-Mon while connected to LTE on my android, lets say it didn't work well. see below: Album: http://imgur.com/a/Mz0zJ

[Rumor] Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G in line for Jelly Bean.
pii100 replied to VW Maverick's topic in Samsung
Did not work for me(tried maybe 30 times) and royally messed up latitude and anything else dependent on Google location services. A reboot fixed it but I switched to just using the normal check-in procedure. Still waiting for JB. No rush as I've got it on my Nexus S already. -
This is the best thing I've heard officially from Sprint!

Looks like I'll have LTE while I get my Tex-mex at Chuy's soon!

Anandtech takes Sprint's LTE network for a spin...
pii100 replied to irev210's topic in General Topics
I found there to be little LTE coverage in Atlanta last week with speeds in the mid single digits. Not bad really considering less than 20% of the towers are complete. -
I just ordered mine through telesales. They asked how long ago i bought my nexus and i said on launch day . I got mine for 12.95 SH plus tax. BTW the shipping difference is 6.50 for ground and 12.95 for overnight.

This is good because i was considering buying the battery and Verizon branded cover from Amazon. We all know that would have just looked wrong!

We really should give OMGDroid the credit for breaking the story. http://omgdroid.com/sprint-giving-galaxy-nexus-customers-a-free-extended-battery-beginning-819-no-purchase-necessary/

We had a relay site that fed 8 stubs located on Mt Baldy in Idaho. No access during some winter months and the rest was helicopter or snowmobile only. Lets say it proved to be problematic. T1 backups were a life saver for the stub sites!

Sensorly LTE maps now up
pii100 replied to Rickie546's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I have doubts about the ability to map towers on LTE like we have grown accustomed to on CDMA and GSM. -
I just found this, its very technical but it shows the values that are taken into account when switching from LTE to EVDO and back. I hope this helps someone find where its located. Looks like were searching for: ThreshServingLow http://lteuniversity.com/get_trained/expert_opinion1/b/lauroortigoza/archive/2012/03/14/irat-reselection-optimization-hints-lte-to-1xev-do-and-1xev-do-to-lte.aspx

Puppies?

Most of the coverage complaints come from users with less than 20 posts, some much less than 20. I think we are seeing a flood of new users who are not yet familiar with what NV is. I think this will probably continue through the NV roll out as sprint turns on new markets. At this point I think should leave new towers unblocked and not "Launch" markets. Some people will never understand why they don't have 100% coverage on launch day.

Must be a NV upgrade, Congratulations! If you drive to the tower fast you might catch the van.
