  1. So - do we think Monday will be a status quo type week? Or will he make any customer facing changes. Not saying anything drastic. But it would be "setteling" to see a plan of attack. Maybe by October would be more realistic.
  2. Don't forget the bulk of the money used to buy tmo was from banks. Granted - if it's not borrowed, no repayments needed. And or I suppose it leaves less debt for future credit lines...
  3. I could very well be wrong but vzw has halted any new deployments Att has done the same. Now I think it is more of stopping copper vs fiber. But yeah.... http://www.fiercetelecom.com/story/verizons-stalled-fios-expansion-will-drive-consumers-cable/2013-12-12 http://stopthecap.com/2012/02/08/at-atts-rural-broadband-solution-we-dont-have-one/
  4. And now att and vzw, can't dump their land line business fast enough. [emoji56]
  5. Unless TMO gets bought or has a large cash flow change - they will be in much tougher spot than Sprint. Just my 2 cents. I think the TMO fans are really in denial...
  6. Agree. Flip side is nv1.0 did fall short and the buck stops at the CEO - talking about Spark, I don't think helped that perception. Where AT&T and VZW followed by TMO did deliver. I know all the differences and how much more of a technical hurdle sprint had and they have done great. But perception is reality....
  7. What sprint "has to do" is: - speed up nv2.0 - cut plan prices - get people talking positive about Sprint Nothing new for folks around here.
  8. Maybe I'm off base, maybe SB wanted Dan around to slow talk the Feds to get the merger done? And well that's not needed now. If my way out their idea is true the new person will be from SB
  9. This is a great news day. I was pro merger. But if SoftBank can or rather does funnel some of the money into NV2.0 I've always respected Dan - but the new sprint needs someone like John!
  10. and both events in NYC correct? I’m sure they have zero to do with each other. I’d hope that it has more to do with Sprint’s network than a new device — but….
  11. I have to agree with you 110% — I much prefer the ease of sim swaps with AT&T… sadly in my area AT&T is typically overloaded so VZW it was :-(
  12. Plus I assume he has a plan. MASA Isn't a bad business man. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. I'd be curious to see if service outperforms sprint in those areas. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. I believe that they are less expensive than satellite services. unless that has come down in price. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Not just online, but from either first hand or coworkers. At the end of the day, I don't think anyone here has any blood in this game from build out point of view. It's either you are a shareholder or user of the network. Which either way it's a win! In my opinion anyways. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. That could very be how it unfolds. Flip side, it will attract many many new customers. Than if the Sprint name survived. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. This might very well be the handy work of SB. Nice way to "ensure" SB can get the green light from the feds. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. You folks may hate my comment, but the sooner sprint moves to fixed caps like att and vzw, it will improve service. I'm not saying they have to match 100%. Maybe undercut heavily on 6gb and under. My 11gb plan is fine for my two lines. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. I'd say sprint could take some pointers. 45 states (250 cities) at one offical shot is not to shabby. I agree sprint is talking 150mbps, I'll wait to see how that turns out. Hopefully Sprint blows vzw out of the air. Till then I can't think but that stupid cliche, about stones and glass houses. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. Typically it's sneaked into your bill. Yeah they know now one reads them. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. With all of the cheaper android and I phones sold, I'd say average data usage is closer to 175-250 MB range... I mean I think I'm a power user and I use about 6-8 GB. And I assume many many more people are even less than 100 MB Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
