There is a tower next to the bus garage in stow. Hopefully they are testing it and have a week signal coming from it.

The hilly terrain between kent and ravenna could cause you to lose signal there. Wonder if it is anygood by walmart on 59.

  2. Yea I mapped that out. In Kent it was spotty but I could only get a weak signal around the BP in Kent. When I went closer to Ravenna I lost it completely. That's why I wonder if there is a other tower in testing and they have it really weak. Also in Stow on 59 I picked up a signal but only for about 1/4 a mile

Did you map the purple around stow high school?

  3. Idk how strong a tower is. I think you could pick up the Ravenna tower by 44 and 303 but not all the way in Kent

Looking at sensorly maps, the purple gets weaker the farther away you get from the ravenna location. Take a 10 mile circle and you could get to the edge of stow.

  4. Det_Conan_Kudo makes great points. A lot of posters here state opinions of T-Mobile that are just based on conjecture. The way I see it any success by T-Mobile will earn the ire of Sprint fanboys.

This is a website devoted to sprint networks. One would expect those who have sprint would want to see the sprint network improve and flourish. What is it that you want to see GinaDee?

  5. Hello all,

I left Sprint for T-mobile back in August. T-mobile is going great but I still may come back to Sprint once the network matures.

I'm really liking getting full postpaid style service with no contract. Is there a way to do this on Sprint without a contract? I have a Nexus 5 I would like to use.

    Thanks!

If you dont use a lot of data, try ting. You can bring your nexus 5, no contract and no activation fees. Voice roaming on verizon. 4g lte on sprint. Pay for what you use.

  6. Also remember that even if T-Mobile and Sprint merge, they will only have around 53M postpaid customers (per WSJ). That a lot less than Verizon's 95M postpaid and AT&T's 72M.

I thought sprint had nearly that many customers themselves. How many prepaid customers do tmo and sprint have?

  7. Finally!!! I was in Kent and saw that there was some puple on sensorly so I forced my N5 into LTE only and scoped it out. we have LTE in kent but its very weak right now. then I drove to stow and picked it up by Kent States airport and target for a minute

That is great! Bring it on! Will have.to drive by and check it out.

  8. I went by that Ravenna tower. It was putting out some good numbers 20 down and 9 up. And the range wasn't bad. I'm confused on how they are approaching these upgrades. They seem to be just random towers

Is your n5 working ok on the Ravenna tower?
