  1. ZVE should maintain a much more consistent connection to LTE than ZVD.
  2. No need, the OTA link from Google has been available since day 1 http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/sprint_lge_g2/edde6cf75ecbda8e54a279c5e41a564bed335b6b.LS980ZVD_19-LS980ZVE_03_update.zip
  3. Edit, sorry for double posts (tapatalk is killing me today)
  4. Maybe I always get HD is because it's between two G2's. It's possible the ZVE update will give improved consistency as it was listed in the upgrade notes I believe.
  5. I definitely had lots of HD calls on ZVD. Although I just took ZVE yesterday so I can't say much about it yet. I don't know about your 1x800 question unfortunately.
  6. Yes, I'm on ZVE and have rooted with stump. I use the xposed module to replace the menu soft key with app switcher. I confirmed earlier the baseband remained the same although the BSRtimer issue appears to have been fixed. I get HD voice everything I talk to my wife, she is also on a G2. No one else I call is on Sprint. HD voice will only work 1. When calling another sprint subscriber. 2. When both users have a HD voice capable phones. 3. When both users are connected to network vision towers. Edit, I've not experienced the low volume issue personally but I don't talk on the phone all that often.
  7. Ioroot and towelroot have been blocked in the ZVE update. Fortunately stump root works fine. However if you didn't unroot before taking the OTA, stump root may fail to run because it thinks you are already rooted. For anyone taking the OTA, make sure you go into supersu settings and disable it first.
  8. I've confirmed ZVE has bsrtimer as 3 so it appears it has been corrected (or the value was retained from when I fixed it before).
  9. Same baseband after ZVE OTA
  10. Same baseband after ZVE OTA
  11. I may have to change my stance if corporate discounts are in fact eligible. At the very least, this brings even more value to the table to make switching for 2 years really worth considering. The possibilities of corporate discounts also makes me even more excited to see the new single line plans. Still not what I was hoping for. I personally advocated and brought several people over to Sprint when Framily launched but don't feel the same kind of excitement now.
  12. I was very excited when I initially read about the new plan - $100 for up to 10 lines. I currently have 2 framily lines at $25 per line. But I'm thinking to myself, "heck for $100 bucks lets load up on some tablets and lines for the kids!" I was mentally counting up all the ways we could use more lines, even at an increased monthly cost. This was a missed opportunity for Sprint to get current subs excited to pay more money. If you look at the per line revenue, obviously it goes down, but per household revenue could actually go up as in my case. I think a lot of families if you gave them a data allotment and said up to 10 devices with no extra fees, they would find ways to fill up those device slots. Those extra devices then translate to more hardware, accessories, and insurance sales for Sprint. As it stands, I would not even talk about this to my friends and family due the the looming price hike at the end of the promotional period. Again, if that per device fee was out of the equation I would be all over my social networks talking about this plan right now. I am looking forward to seeing the new individual plans later this week, hopefully they can offer something to make existing subscribers excited too.
  13. If you are willing to take the risk to buy a phone 2nd hand there are always great deals to be had (but you have to be careful). If you want a brand new one I would suggest setting up some deal alerts over at slickdeals and keep a few hundred dollars at the ready for when a sale happens.
  14. Yep, it was sold out in a couple of days. The MotoX (not tri-band [emoji32]) keeps going on sale and the Nexus 5 is a solid buy too. I also see the G2 used for around $230 on CL and swappa. Cowboom is another good place to watch, (they sell phones that come in the best buy buyback program) I bought a Galaxy S2 from them a couple years ago and it's still working great.
  15. Yeah, why on earth would I pay $250 for a 9 month old phone with a 2-Year contract? [emoji1] just busting your chops a little bit. I typically always look for phones that are 6-9 months old and had the best specs at the time they launched. By doing this, I'm able to have damn close to top end handsets at about half the list price. Usually I buy them 2nd hand, but in this case I got very lucky with the Microcenter flash sale and got one brand new.
  16. Keep your eyes out for deals, I got a LG G2 new from microcenter for $250 a few weeks ago. I would go for the G2 over the S4T personally for the better specs.
  17. Do you have the "reduce data usage" turned on in Chrome? If not, what a weird issue. I hope sprint isn't getting stingy with the data.
  18. It appears to be broadcasting B25, I'll send you some screenshots to confirm.
  19. Nice, that is one more reason to move to a triband device! The LG G2 is selling second hand for around $250 which I have my eye on. Also considered the Nexus 5 but I like the bigger battery and better camera of the G2. Was the Nexus ever spark enabled? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  20. Have the Jordan Creek Marriott issues been resolved? The last time I worked in the office (late May) it was still not broadcasting lte. Other than that things have been golden for me and my wife. Took a trip to Omaha a couple weeks back and had a lot of 4g on i80 and around CB & Omaha too. It can always be "better" but compared to this time a year ago we've come a long way. Combined with "framily" pricing I can't imagine another carrier pulling me away from Sprint. I'm looking forward to even better service when I'm able to afford moving to a triband phone. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  21. RT @CollectiveSoul: RT @bendiwunn: @CollectiveSoul no more "wasting time" I need a retweet for tickets #stircove

  22. Moto X refresh not expected until August time frame - I wouldn't expect rumors until closer to then. No carrier aggregation capable handsets have been announced for Sprint thus far. Spark / Tri-band is currently limited to a single LTE band at a time I believe.
  23. I got a flier in the mail about the "free" coverage when paying for service with a Wells Fargo credit card just a couple weeks ago - which is what I'm doing going forward. Typically in the past I would take TEP for the first year on a new phone and then drop it once used price of the phone dropped to around $250. Going forward I'm just going to stick with the "free" coverage.
  24. The xxx18 PRLs are the ones that changed to scan 1900 first. If you move back to xxx17 you will see the old behavior. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  25. I've stopped considering magic jack after reading a whole bunch of bad reviews and the negative response from you guys as well. I'll probably keep what I have for now. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
