  1. While your inside they have free wifi, but when you step back outside, that's when I want my Gee's extra strong.
  2. Sorry, try this one instead for merger discussion: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4163-all-sprint-acquisition-discussion-was-japans-softbank-in-talks-for-128-bln-sprint-stake/page-33#
  3. Softbank and Clearwire purchases got approved by the FCC but there are other threads discussing that stuff. Good news none the less. I keep checking for Des Moines news, I'm sure things will be heating up soon!
  4. Those speeds are similar to what I saw on sprint LTE in St. Joseph, MO of 17+ down and 7+ up. Will be just like using wifi for all intents and purposes.
  5. I think he is just excited for "native" LTE I got on Sprint LTE in Missouri a couple months ago and wow I was super impressed with the coverage and speeds.
  6. If you are mad about the $10 SPRINT fee, have fun paying an extra $30+ for not unlimited data on VZW. I'd just as well wait a few more months and get Lte and unlimited for the lower price. Also, the Softbank merger is now on track to close as early as July so I think things will be moving fast from here.
  7. Got on LTE in St. Joseph, MO today and a few observations. Fast. Crazy fast. 20mbps down / 8 up was pretty consistent. Also signals very solid along the interstate. I held 4g until well outside of town.http://www.speedtest.net/android/457303998.png Makes me super stoked for this to hit Des Moines. I am really impressed with my first experience on LTE. I got on Wimax in Des Moines near Sams Club and speed and signal was nowhere near this good.
  8. Why waste your time fiddling with settings? Automate it all and download #nfctasklauncher by @tagstand: http://t.co/Wv4HwaNz

  9. I'm happy to see the updates so I know Iowa isn't being forgotten. I wonder if anyone can tell me if the Indianola, IA tower(s) will be upgraded with Des Moines (about 10min south of DSM). I'm not holding my breath but it would be nice it we were simply included with the Des Moines market. I did quite a bit of driving in Des Moines/West Des Moines/Urbandale last weekend and didn't see any LTE connections (ran sensorly while driving). I think just knowing that Sprint is working in this area has made waiting even harder. I wasn't expecting any 4G yet but wouldn't mind being surprised...lol
  10. The tower near Des Moines golf & country club I think has something happening as I've had very poor signal and even flipped to roaming a while today from a location with usually a good signal. I have not seen LTE, so no clue if they are actually upgrading it or just some kind of outage. I'll update if anything fun happens. Thanks to OP for starting this, I can't wait to see some LTE around Des Moines.
  11. I love Dropbox because Its so easy and works with my PC and android phone seamlessly. http://t.co/hnfCh6AO
