It could be a damaged cable line either on your property or somewhere between the switch and your place. I had my home phone line go out a few years ago because water got in and rusted the wires. 2 or 3 days without phone service. And are you using 3G or 4G on your Epic Touch?

  3. I'm curious about how Sprint will future proof Unlimited LTE once there are a larger number of customers. Is it possible they could adopt Clear's policy about charging for tiered data speeds? Or that won't ever be an issue once Carrier Aggregation is ready to go.
  4. That really depends on the phone. The Galaxy Nexus is a flagship phone. The Evo Shift was also built last year and discontinued a few days shy of a year old. Even though it's last year's phone, it's worse than being last years tech.
  5. navigation error (I think I'm lost at sea now, haha.)
  6. And that brings us all back to the question about new towers, did they just get plain upgrades and aren't ready for NV, or will they be partly NV ready from the time they are turned on?
  7. Yeah, definitely. Do you use more than 12GB/mo? I've been known to use almost 100GB/mo. at&t cut my friends unlimited data card because I used over 50GB 2 months in a row.
  8. I understand your dilemma. I have gone thru it. And at&t is the worst about killing unlimited plans. They did with my friends data card a few years back, and we couldn't get by with 5GB/mo. Keep your data card for now. And hopefully your local utilities would come soon for high speed internet.
  9. I don't either, except for the fact that every other carrier in the US is transitioning over to it. T-Mobile's HSPA+ network is already faster in some areas than at&t & VZW, and the next step is to go to HSPA+84.
  10. According to the NV list, you aren't scheduled for Network Vision upgrades until later this year, but they could have already put compatible equipment up ahead of time. At least, hopefully they did.
  11. Sprint dumped unlimited 4G data on broadband cards last year and gave a generous offering of 6 & 12 GB plans to 1-up on Verizon. If you had Clearwire, they have unlimited for $35/mo that's throttled to 1.5Mbps.
  12. Wow. Welcome to the Sprint 3G family. Saw your speed test and I must say you have good data speeds for new 3G. Hopefully they don't slow down anytime soon.
  13. Virtual buttons are no good for me either, as I have a hard enough time with "pressing" the home button or the search button on my EVO Shift all the time anyway.
  14. Here is another concept gallery of Liquidmetal iPhone concepts. http://www.cultofmac.com/164240/introducing-the-liquid-metal-iphone-5-concept-gallery/ This looks really cool.
  15. Actually, I must correct myself. Apple has a contract with Liquidmetal to license their material, and it's possible that the next iPhone or even the next MacBooks to use the material for their cases. It will be interesting to see what Apple has up their sleeves this year.
