Bars are not important. The way OEM's decide how many -dBms align with bar counts is always in flux. I have seen devices with higher "bar counts" and actually have weaker signals. I'm just suggesting you don't rely on number of bars ever to be a determining factor. However, there is definitely something wrong with the GNex radios. I am planning an article after I get my GS3 where I do some radio performance comparisons of the GS3, EVO LTE, GS2, GNex and EVO 3D. I may even add the OG EVO to the mix. I was one of those people...for awhile. I was a BlackBerry User and had a tough time transitioning to the iPhone virtual keyboards. By the time I jumped from ATT to Sprint when the EVO came out, I still was on the fence about virtual keyboards. I was not a fan of the tiny iPhone keyboards. I have big meaty paws. However, with the larger Android screen sizes and the good Gingerbread keyboard, and the even better ICS keyboard, I no longer dream of physical keyboards any more. Whenever I use a physical keyboard, I feel like I'm slowed down and my error rate goes up. Ill take a good quality virtual keyboard now any day of the week. ICS keyboard FTW! I now have the rumor corroborated. Two separate sources who do not know each other...Sprint employees from different parts of the country. Sprint has selected approximately 100 key sites for now to go from iDEN only to Network Vision CDMA/LTE. As they identify funding and need they may bring more into the fold. However, none will be sites that are already decommissioned this year. Only sites in next year's decommissioning will be considered.
