  2. Who said NV has not started in Tampa? I don't have the schedule near me at the moment, but working from memory, it is supposed to start this summer. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  3. At a quick glance, that sounds very anti-competitive in nature. The cablecos selling WiFi roaming to other carriers should have no bearing on a spectrum swap/network sharing deal with Verizon. Also, its stupid business. If they have built out WiFi, they should want to monetize that any way they can. Shareholders should be outraged. Given how the current FCC has come down on anti-competitive issues thus far, I think Sprint will be able to make a good case on this. I think this will ire the FCC. 4. Exciting. However, these adds appeared for current markets about nine months before deployment started. So if we add nine months to now, that would be an improvement over the December 2013 start I was seeing. Wouldn't that be funny if they moved up ABQ because of me? Not that I think that's true. 7. I can get 1900MHz at 10 miles in New Mexico. EVDO can still pull down 1Mbps on a -100dBm signal at that distance, only losing 400kbps. It all comes down to antenna height and downtilt. Its hard to be general about signal. Its so variable dependent on how its deployed. Robert via Galaxy Nexus using Forum Runner

  11. I have never seen anything internal about Dish...ever. However I saw an article in the past few weeks where Ergen was quoted as saying they were talking with both Sprint and T-Mobile. Robert via Galaxy Nexus using Forum Runner
  12. I also disagree about upper management. He releases information that is available in bulletins to mid level management at call centers. Nothing that is of the caliber of behind the scenes upper management stuff. Robert via Galaxy Nexus using Forum Runner
  13. You can go to Settings and look under about device in most Android devices, it will display network connection type. Also, you can use apps like NetMonitor and CDMA Field Test. Speedtest app also shows the network type in the details of specific speed test results under the Results tab. Robert via Galaxy Nexus using Forum Runner
  14. Hartford in in Northern Connecticut market and will not start deployment until 2013. However, if you get within the fellow areas in the map above, you may be able to get LTE earlier when the Southern CT market completes. Robert
  15. We will have an Orange County market schedule article soon. Stay tuned to S4GRU. Robert
  16. The second round deployment list was not necessarily in order. We will have an East Michigan market update article soon. Stay tuned. Robert
  17. The info came directly from internal sources at Sprint, Clearwire, Ericsson, Samsung and subcontractors. S4GRU has been around for a year and all of our past reporting has panned out. We have over 4,000 members and followers. Many of them go out in the field and verify a lot of our info. If you pour through our forums, you would see a lot of that history. And then you can decide for yourself. Of course, there is no guarantee that Sprint will do anything in the future. We just report. In this article we have reported a status of what has already occurred for this market, and what Sprint had scheduled for this market. In this article series, we are not always showing just positive info. When we come across negative info, we publish that too. We are not affiliated with Sprint. We call them like we see them. We have no interest in selling you a story. In fact, we don't sell anything. S4GRU is a group of wireless nerds that are interested in the Sprint network. We pass on, share and guide discussions about Sprint's network. Robert
