  1. Now the OTA is no longer coming. It came: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1921-ota-for-evo-available/ Thread closed. Robert
  2. A new thread about a new update has been started: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1921-ota-for-evo-available/ This one is now closed. Robert
  3. Yeah, Sprint releasing PR's like that is not a good idea, IMHO. Because when people can clearly see that their 3G speeds have not improved, they think that Sprint's upgrade is not what it's cracked up to be. THey should take an extra sentence explaining a little more about the 3G upgrades. Robert
  4. It is being upgraded one site at a time and nowhere near complete. You know this. Robert
  5. The last device roadmap I saw said that Sprint was planning to offer devices that supported LTE 1900, LTE 800 and LTE 2600 in Q2 2013. However, it is not known if the very first multiple LTE band device will just be LTE 1900/800 or LTE 1900/2600, and then tri-band LTE 1900/800/2600 later. We will have to see. Robert
  6. I've never seen a two in the front/one in the back RRU scenario. Neato. Thanks. Robert
  7. I keep our launch estimates in the NV/LTE Deployment Running List thread. Robert
  8. Ain't no way in the world I am going to report my driving habits to my insurance company. Otherwise they would be able to assess my risk more appropriately. I count on hiding behind the risk curve! Robert
  9. S4GRU will be in Waco, Texas this weekend which is the only 100% built out city with Sprint LTE. We will be testing the network to see how it performs, as well as how four LTE devices perform on the network. We will discuss it in some upcoming articles and contrast it with the WiMax Network. 10. Sherman-Denison was supposed to be in this launch. They must have hit a hurdle. Robert http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-319-sprint-announces-that-baltimore-is-now-formally-launched-as-well-as-some-other-communities-in-already-launched-markets/
  11. Beat ya! I already had it posted in The Wall. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-319-sprint-announces-that-baltimore-is-now-formally-launched-as-well-as-some-other-communities-in-already-launched-markets/ Robert
  12. by Robert Herron Sprint 4G Rollout Updates Wednesday, August 29, 2012 - 7:20 AM MDT Today, Sprint announces they have launched service in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as in Gainesville, Georgia (in the Atlanta/Athens market) and Manhattan, Kansas and Sedalia, Missouri (in the Kansas market). However, S4GRU members have been reporting LTE service has been usable for weeks in these locations. Additionally, coverage showed up at coverage.sprint.com last Thursday. Service around Baltimore is pretty patchy, but better than some of the other launch markets on Launch Day. Additionally, there is a lone site in Annapolis for Sprint LTE customers to use while in Maryland's Capital City. S4GRU Writer, AJ Shepherd, was in Manhattan, Kansas last Friday and reported good to spotty coverage. Good performance was observed in areas with good signal. See the Sprint Press Release below:

    Bent my EVO LTE

That's not an actual a pic? I just assumed it was you in one of those mirror photos... Robert
  14. I am installing the update now. Need all the latest before heading to Waco on Friday for LTE testing. Robert
  15. Yes. Much like they can interfere with your car radio, the can interfere with your wireless device radio performance. I see it happen all the time in my own personal observations. Robert
  16. If Sprint had announced one, it would be an "Announced Launch Date." Since Sprint has not announced one, S4GRU has gone through the Network Vision schedule try to best determine a launch date based on current production rates. So the "Anticipated Launch Date" is a S4GRU estimate. Robert
