  3. This is common in markets under deployment prior to launch. It will probably happen again. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  4. I lived in North Central Florida from 1987 to 1994. I lived in Belleview and went to Lake Weir Middle School, but we moved to Putnam County and I went to Interlachen High School and graduated there in 1994. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  5. Most likely you have a weak LTE signal with speeds like that. LTE performance is very signal strength dependent (regardless of carrier). On Android devices you cannot tell LTE signal strength in the "bars" shown. They show voice signal strength only, even when the 4G icon is showing. For more info on that: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Sometimes when a site is initially deployed, LTE speeds may be slow for a day or two. But most likely slow speeds are related to signal strength. You are likely getting LTE from a distant site. As closer sites get deployed to you the signal will be stronger and the speeds will be faster. The deployment is nowhere near complete. Coverage and performance will just get better and better as the service gets denser and denser. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner

  7. No, not at all. The vendors have many different subcontractors. The subs that would work on Providence are different than the ones who work on Baltimore...etc., etc., etc. Work starting in another market has no virtually no impact on other markets. Robert
  8. Several reasons. Number one...different vendors and different subcontractors. Florida markets are being deployed by Ericsson. These 3rd Round markets are being deployed by Alcatel Lucent. Alcatel Lucent is using different subcontractors in these markets, so it does not impact any other market for them to get started now if they are ready. Number two...Florida markets were delayed because of Osprey nesting. The Osprey is federal protected through October 1st. Sprint had to stop production to not run afoul (or should I say aFOWL? ) with the EPA and USFWS. So they pulled off afraid that workers may disturb nests and violate the law to keep working and possibly get Sprint in a lot of trouble. Sprint and their contractors have been back to work in Florida since October 1st, now that the season is over. They are working as fast as they can and trying to make up ground. Sprint is still working to launch at least the major parts of their Florida markets before the end of the year. Robert
  9. Someone just posted on our Facebook page that they connected to LTE in Carolina, PR. I asked them to run Sensorly. Hopefully it will show up soon. https://www.facebook.com/S4GRU/posts/545312845486158 Robert
  10. They are running behind. But they haven't slowed. It's pretty much the same rate NYC has always run. Paltry. Although additional markets have no bearing on the rate existing markets deploy. Other markets have completely different subcontractors that do not even work in the preceding markets. So, I say, the more markets the merrier. There are varying reasons why the markets are deploying at the rate they are. Some are related to backhaul deployments ahead of conversions, some are related to OEM equipment deliveries, and maybe even more factors than even I know of. But the issue really isn't the field workers. They are chomping at the bit! Robert
  11. According to the FCC OET on the Samsung Note 2, all the bands should be pretty equal (or better) to the GS3 in radio performance (based on ERP), except LTE, which may be slightly less powerful. Robert
  12. I think the problem with Connecticut is Connecticut. It is a very difficult place to do business. Robert
  13. Definitely. We would like Sprint to post accurate LTE coverage maps. They are way too generous showing coverage, even outdoors holding your phone above your head. Robert
