VZW and TMO considering "toll free" data plans

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or a bad one. Considering VZW wants to do it, it's probably a bad one.

I think I tend to agree with the Net Neutrality folks on this one.

I think it could be a goid idea if done right. It would also be easier if it was done by your big hitters(with pay service already).

 

So netflix adds 1 or 2 dollars for unlimited mobile streaming. Or like pandora $1 for unlimited streaming.

Makes sense since a heavy hitter like netflix pays like 5 cent a gb, compaired to verizon and att hitting users at $10 a gb.

Unless Netflix is willing to change it's billing system and only charge customers on those carriers that have toll free data, then I don't think it should be done. No sense punishing all of us for the crazy ideas of the 3 carriers that cancelled true unlimited data plans.
