We'll now that all of the holidays are done. Let's hope for some LTE integrations to start. Still no sign of back haul in Alamogordo, I have been getting an occasional ping below 100, most run from 115 to 200. I am greatful for the fix on data connection problems.

I don't know how this happened, but it did. This was at Juan Tabo and Lomas. I have never had the best speeds or ping ever here, and could never hold a call more then 5 minutes. Seems like a pretty high speed for that ping... But I wouldn't know that well.

On the actual image it shows the cellular icon. This was when I was at subway. I am on wifi NOW when I uploaded it because I can't upload on *sprint where I live.

So does anyone know for sure if backhaul has been laid? Has anyone seen cl near sprint towers?

i seen a cl truck and trailer working on the tower near mesa del sol. And on sprints website it said there has been data speed upgrades to that tower location

I am really optimistic we will see our first live lte in the next few weeks or so.  I am also optimistic in thinking that CL has probably already upgraded a lot of sites with backhaul.  It still just baffles me why they weren't brought online with backhaul as they were completed.

If Albuquerque is relying on chlorine, Colgate-Palmolive, or craigslist for backhaul, you are in for a long wait.

You have it all wrong.  In Albuquerque we rely on C10H15N.

This may be one of the funniest oneliners ever used at S4GRU!!!

Now that is nerdy and trashy, all at the same time!!  It's sad that is what ABQ is known for outside of New Mexico though.

You must be Breaking Backhaul.  That is why your market is moving along so slowly.

This forum is just like Breaking Bad. In the sense that I am addicted to checking it 5 times a day in hopes someone is going to announce the grand finale.......LTE HAS ARRIVED!!!. Yeah right. Wishful thinking. LOL!

I can't keep a call tonight.  I was talking to my brother in Iowa for 20/30 minutes and I dropped twice.  I usually have sub 90db at my house.  I called Sprint Support and they are giving credits (not much mind you).  I can only imagine what Chicago was like with all the dropped calls.

Maybe good news...? I saw a white truck, no markings, at a Sprint site today that I'm pretty sure has had upgraded backhaul for a couple weeks now. Who would do the lte integration? Does Ericsson do that as a part of their maintenance contact for Sprint or does the nv contractor for the area, which is also Ericsson for abq, do it?

Sprint 4G LTE is kind of okay where I live, sometimes is pain in the ass I will get .50 up and .30 up using 4G LTE. I can't wait to be complete. Also any know when when Las Cruces is having 4G LTE the store is saying soon very soon but I cant wait!

I know for certain that it is Ericsson techs doing integrations in the ABQ market. I've ran into them before in Santa Fe, Española and Los Alamos before. They wore Ericsson polo shirts, but never drove Ericsson trucks.

    • Their offers have been crap recently, so this is just more evidence to not buy from T-Mobile.
    • T-Mobile Will Soon Prevent Early Payoff Of Phones Receiving Bill Credits If you finance a phone with T-Mobile it will remain locked until paid off but now you won't be able to pay off early. If you don't currently purchase your phones from the manufacturer here is another reason it might be a good idea.
    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — —  Old permit for this new install expired but a new one was recently issued. It's gonna be similar to the site at 360 Forman St in Brooklyn Heights. Permit calls for only 3 antennas to be installed so I'm assuming it gonna be Band 2/41/66 and n25/41 only which is a bit of a downgrade from the now decommissioned full build that was on 871 7th Ave but in it's current state the nearest macro is a few blocks away and a small cell at Broadway and 55th is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the area so anything helps.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
