And that is the tower that is showing on sensorly. I almost wonder if it was the Ericsson tech that mapped it.

I am heading up that way now. see if I can get some LTE love on my note.

Did you see what I said earlier about the other sites?

I guess this definitely means the 4G core is ready to go for the market. I won't be surprised if we start seeing towers popping up all over the place now.

this is really part of the tampa market???

and the first?

you guys are talking bout springhill right?

hopefully it rolls as fast if not faster than the miami market but i doubt it. It would be beautiful to wake up tomorrow to some sort of magical lte test at railroad but who am i kidding gonna be checking allot more now too

Tux Railroad is going to be a little bit.. I didn't see any evidence of backhaul being done yet. I said this before but there is more towers in that area that don't show backhaul yet. You will be a happy camper when it goes live

yeah that was me. I would have mapped some more but it is really dark up that way at night and I thought I heard some banjos.

Will try to head back up this weekend and hit up other towers in the area.

So the tower I listed a few weeks back as having their panels up is the site at 24026 SR 54. I will keep my eye on the phone as I go through there the next few days.

Point Pleasant BLVD is a little out of my way. anyone up in Wesley Chapel want to run by that tower. It is back behind Precision Kia on SR 54

when I was about 2 miles from the tower I toggled and it still came back 3G, it was so dark I was trying to watch the road not my phone. once I got to the tower which is in a small repair shop parking lot. I looked at my phone and it was showing 4G instead of 3G. So I guess I would say it picked it up on its own.

I am sporting the Note II now not the EVOLTE any longer. So if any EVOLTE users decide to travel into the wild unknows you guys will have to let me know how easily it picks up the signal. In some ways I do miss the EVOLTE. it felt sturdier with all the metal compared the Note II which is all plastic. and the kick stand, I miss that the most :)

That's good work up there tonight. The Tampa market thanks you.

The Pasco permit site is by far the best I have seen. You can actually search by Antenna add. Basically no fun searching that site today. I will say it gave us another couple of contractors we didn't know about until today.

I'm think about going to some of the permitting sites in a market that is not being worked by Ericsson. Looking at the permits today in that area I was surprised to see that it appears there is no rhyme or reason to the sites and the contractors. I spent as much time on the Pasco site as possible and it looks like the tower techs are passing other sites being done by other contractors to get to other sites.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — — The old permit expired for this site without any work being done but a new permit was just approved a few days ago for a T-Mobile site at this address. Description mentions 3 antennas with 2 RRUs per sector. My guess is they're doing something similar to what they did at 360 Furman St in Brooklyn where they broadcast Band 2/66 and n25/41 from one antenna. It's a bit of a downgrade considering the site it's replacing was a full build with Ericsson 6449s.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
