Sprint LTE August 2012 Schedule Maps

Recommended Posts

When is SouthWest Austin going to have LTE????!!!!! My iPhone 5 3G is super slow!! Drains my battery too and yes LTE is turned off for now but battery still drains super fast! Please let Austinites know when they can have LTE!! San Antonio Houston and Dallas have it why not Austin yet?

Also, if you read our forums, you would see that there are several live LTE sites in the Austin area. We have several members tracking the progress. Also, turning off LTE will not save your battery at all. It is not like WiMax. Your battery burn rate will be the same with LTE on or off.

If your iPhone 5 is going through battery really fast, you either have a really poor 3G signal, or your device is defective.

Curious to know if there is any update on the Charlotte/Mooresville market. If the launch date is on schedule, perhaps ahead or behind schedule and if there is a solid launch date yet. Thanks.

We won't know for certain until we get the first list of accepted sites from Sprint. Hopefully we will get this info in the next week or so.

Ok great. Will these be posted on the wall as the list is available? Thanks again Robert.

We have a thread in our Sponsor section that gets updated every week called NV Sites Complete. In it we show all the sites Sprint has accepted from Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent and Samsung that week. It is the best place to get the latest updates. For more information about becoming a S4GRU Sponsor and to get access to all of our great Sponsor content, read this thread: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/

The August Map thread is way outdated. It's now closed. We are considering an October map soon.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are as many Link5G sites as there are reserved small cells from franchisees in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them. — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
    • Same with factory unlocked
