Hello , after being banned for a week for no apparent reason I've learned something ignore the jerks who like to start drama with me .
Anywaysss back on topic .
I've noticed something , the tower that im closest to might be upgraded 3G wise I mean but the speed is only good when im a certain distance away from it . When im to close the signals excellent but the service is unusable its really confusing just making a assumption .

Um, no there isn't....I'm looking at the Sensorly map, there is no purple there and that tower wasn't live a couple of days back. The only purple that's there is by 287.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that map had all the proper pieces of a map. Title..colors..key..notations..etc. Probably one of the most elementary maps. Even easier than the one to match up the 50 states in the 4th grade.

Well I feel I can chime in this a lil bit and get on topic. Hey bro ts and rob is right. I'm from the westside of Chicago and we got our own slang different than anybody but I still can talk/type like I want but have the knowledge and vocab to get my words across to a wider board not just my guys on the block lol. Bottom line they only trying to help u bro haha and yeah whoever told u that info bogas. Us(Chicago) is way smaller size wise to NY and we still arent complete with nv yet and us and PR is the most far along. Give or take end of year.

So back on topic, one of the more fascinating components of the NV project for NYC is seeing the new panels being bolted on buildings. I've found myself driving around Queens and even in Midtown looking at the panels and trying to guess if they were Sprint or not.
Yeah I definitely know what you mean , the other day when I was on the bus I had passed this building it had a bunch of panels on it . i checked my phone & my rsrp jumped from -79 to -49 but that didnt improve the speed sadly lol .

I think queens has less than 10 towers up for lte. Dont see how they will finish by end of march. Not even end of april at this speed. Maybe end of the year I think.
Oh , I didn't know that , I assumed there were more from all the purple on Sensorly , but we will see if what I read will true .

There's a reason this site exists. These guys have insider info that neither you or I have. Stop questioning everything they say since they know a lot more about each individual aspect of Sprint's roll out than you or I ever will.

sprint rep told me that they were informed NYC should be done end of march.
Not true , because before Sprint LTE was in NYC I read from a very reliable source that Sprint was going for a End of March completion for NYC the latest for us would probably be late April early May if they don't complete in time but I doubt that because Sprint is overhauling LTE for us .

Just heard from Technobuffalo , Sprint LTE is now live in 9 more Markets I think that makes it 67 official live markets that have Sprint LTE , we should be in the next group of markets that gets released . Yayy im so excited .

Network Vision 3G upgrades are brought online in clusters. When a site is 3G accepted, it very often does not go live because they have to wait for the entire cluster to be completed. Then all the 3G upgrades in that cluster go live immediately.
The LTE upgrades do not have to be brought up in clusters. So it is quite possible that your site has only LTE upgrades live and not 3G, even though both may be accepted.

Ohhhh that makes sense that probably means official 3G upgrades probably won't be avaliable until after LTE is launched im just speculating tho .

Not sure why the 3G is still so poor. From what I can tell by the engineering screen there are three sectors on this tower 4099, 4098, 4097, and three different channels 650, 675, 450. In any case, i'm just happy I finally have some LTE.
Yeah I don't get it , I was in Queens the other day & I had full blown LTE but when I switched over to 3G & did a speedtest the speeds were average 3G , with NV 3G im expecting 1mbps down & 0.50-1.00mbps up i don't get it but at least LTE is around

I can't wait till every tower is covered with LTE no more slow 3G speeds, Sprint will actually be competition for the other carriers . Everyone goes to Verizon just because they have LTE everywhere & their coverage is amazing but there speeds aren't the best . AT&T hands down has the best LTE speeds with an average of 17mbps down & 5-10mbps up thats amazing . I can't wait to see what Sprint's average will be for our market I hope it's higher than Verizon's lmao .
