  1. Came across this video on Google+ in regards the Moto X and Moto 360. http://www.theverge.com/2014/9/5/6110829/the-art-and-science-behind-the-moto-x-and-moto-360
  2. Actually funny story, my friend lost his Galaxy Nexus while in Vegas, we went to the store and decided to go with the LG2 because of the bigger battery after looking at the Moto X . He used the phone during the weekend and on Monday saw him again with the Moto X. I asked what happened, stated that he preferred Stock and that he didn't like any of the mods available for the LG2. After that I upgraded my Gnex to the Moto X
  3. Specs are pretty much the same but just having stock android its the reason why I wanted a Moto X.
  4. I guess comparison varies on what kind of use you give to the phone. Some might use it for gaming, others for taking pictures, other for work related stuff or just as a way to communicate with others socially. So opinions will vary.... Customization is just an value add for the customer.
  5. Because the Nexus 5 is the current phone. Still unsure about the new nexus so cant compare to something that is not in the market yet. Based on my ownership of the phones I had. I can see the pros and cons about the nexus phones against the Moto X 2013
  6. It actually makes sense not to buy the $500 model but to be honest I prefer the Moto X over the current Nexus 5.. I love stock android and my previous phone have been Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and skipped the Nexus 5 for the Moto X, quality of the phone, how it feels in the hand, quality of audio in calls and videos exceed and beat the Nexus 5 in my opinion.
  7. I seen confirmation from Motorola but where has Sprint confirmed?
  8. Will Sprint activate this model on its network ?
  9. That is a good question, I wonder if its going to Sprints prepaid brands? The article that AJ compiled made it seem like Sprint was getting the phone. Really disappointed as I was ready to upgrade to the new Moto X.
  10. Bad news guys, just saw this on Google + https://plus.google.com/116697160097874214369/posts/XaPbNesBPoD https://twitter.com/Motorola/status/512272654032965633
  11. Coverage has improved on the calling side but data still lags a bit in Disneyland, sites seem congested due to all visitors. There's only one tower left to be upgraded near the park so hope this fixes the issue. I get great LTE service near Small world Nextel service was great inside the park but some rides like Indiana did not get service. I wonder if Disneyland had repeaters or any equipment inside the park since the park operated with nextel walkie talkies.
  12. Hope coverage increases in your area once all towers are updated and optimized.
  13. Most of the sites are upgraded, just 1 is waiting full upgrade but they are far from your location. Maybe request an Airwave from Sprint to increase your coverage around the house?
  14. Yup, more bloatware. Hope one is able to uninstall it. Wish I could uninstall the Sprint Zone App too.
  15. Great Pictures! Seems like this is a upgraded Wimax tower to LTE 2.5.. I'm not sure The 3G/ LTE 1900 panels look a bit different.
  16. I had the Galaxy Nexus for a year, from what I read in this forum and in others is thas the Gnex has one of the weakest radios, so connectivity to 3G and LTE was a bit bad that it also affected battery life. I used to carry 2 high capacity batteries. Also, I know that when we got the 4.3 update, it created a bug when connected to LTE and you would fall back to 3G, data would not work unless you toggle airplaine mode. so maybe this is what you are experiencing ? After a month of all these issues, decided to upgrade to the Moto X even tho it was not pure stock. get better LTE and 3G bars where I had minimal service such as my office.
  17. Yup, LTE service in Disneyland is improving even tho every time I go, my Moto X falls back to 3G and have to toggle Airplane mode to go back to LTE. I have great LTE coverage by Matterhorn, its a small World and the FantasyLand Theater. The rest of the park I'm on 3G. Hope those missing towers get upgraded asap and turn LTE on and also switch the 3G cluster on.
  18. Usually Robert is pretty quick at upgrading your membership so a couple of hours, I would say. Thanks for donating and enjoy!
  19. Glad you posted, I will be travelling to Italy in a few weeks and I been looking for info on SIMs. So Vodafone SIM is the way to go ? I have a Moto X
  20. A few LTE updates last week in the Riverside area. keeps getting better. If you would like to get the latest updates on your area, I encourage you to donate, anything helps, Memberships run for 6 months after your first donation.
  21. No need to swap SIM cards, unless you only have 1 SIM. Simply go online, activate new phone on the line your want and enter all information requested.
  22. Yup, seems like they are focusing in the Inland Empire, I been waiting patiently for the tower next to my office to go LTE live but its been a while and its the only one left with no LTE... Signal and speeds are really slow after 8am so not able to use my phone when I want to surf the web. Hope it changes soon
  23. Network Vision is an on going process, They might be adjusting towers and doing some other stuff to get better coverage. Also lets remember that 3G services gets turned on in clusters ( a group of upgraded sites at the same time) to avoid interference with other non-nv towers.
  24. Seems like Network Vision is still happening around your area. I can see that most of the towers in Fontana have been upgraded with a few waiting for NV.
