  1. Take a long lunch. Should be worth the drive. ;)

Lol.... If I could I would, However; I have keys and I can get it after I am done, but that brings me to a 5:30pm departure time and a 6:45 arrival time then an hour and a half ride home.

  2. Got tracking number from sprint for my N6!! Can't wait!

I got my tracking number and it will be delivered Thursday to my office. That day they decide to send me an hour away for the day so it won't be until Friday now. Aaaaaargh.

On a side note T-Mobile is selling the 64 gig unit for 29.00 ez pay or 699.00.....damn Sprint need s to wake up.

  3. Sprint just credited my account the amount I paid for the nexus on my bill and in turn made my bill -82 instead of 250..

Something is not quite right. Gonna call them in the morning to see what gives.

It seems to me the last time that I called that Sprint may just be trying to over haul their customer satisfaction. They may have just charged you taxes up front and put you on EZ pay.

  4. I signed up both my brother and mom for this promo and they give you a 50 dollar gift card when you buy and sign a contract at the Best Buy store. You can use it towards the payment of your phone.

Still have mine but will pass on the upgrade since I dont want to pay $299 for the phone plus taxes plus activation fee ~ $394 total

I just thought I would tell some of you guys why EZ Pay may just be as good if not better than a contract. I personally think that it is better.

Yesterday I bought A Nexus 6 from Sprint, and it only cost me the price of the total amount of the phone in taxes. Sprint's no contract plan is like a reverse contract plan. Pay $29.00 a month, and sign up for the $60.00 unlimited plan and you will have the phone paid off in two years just like the contact plan with no upfront cost. I just need to add that if you pay the phone off early you go back to the $85.00 a month unlimited every thing plan....go figure....all in all still a good deal, and you can upgrade yearly by paying the phone off.

My unlimited plan now cost $85.00 for calls, text, and data no throttling. With the Nexus 6 on the $60.00 unlimited text, and data plan I pay an additional $29.00 monthly for a total of $89.00. This is $4.00 more a month than I am paying now and my enrollment cost was only the cost of the taxes for this phone. There is no interest like when paying a credit card, and you can pay off the phone early at any time. The catch is you must have good credit, or be with Sprint for a few years....that's it.

Tax cost vary state by state, and anyone that moans at this deal just wants it for free, and doesn't deserve it!

I ended up paying $54.00 total cost because I called to find out why my taxes were so high, because I thought my tax rate was 9%, and they said that since I was with them since 1997 that they would credit my next bill 30.00 and make the adjustment now so I would not have to worry or call back! I was not expecting this because you can't escape death or taxes, and if the rate was what they charged me so be it. I also did not pay an activation fee.

    Food for thought.....yes?

  5. Nexus 6 it is then.

To my knowledge, not a single North American handset has ever supported uplink carrier aggregation -- not for DC-HSPA+, not for LTE.  Only downlink carriers may be aggregated.  And I do not see that changing soon.  Uplink carrier aggregation, since it would affect uplink transmission, would just be a big battery drain on handsets.

I am not sure where you got the idea that the Sprint variant Galaxy Note Edge supports CCA/RRPP LTE roaming bands.  It does not.  It is just a typical Sprint tri band handset.  In that regard, it is no different from the Sprint variant Galaxy Note 4.

    AJ

I was told this by some one but after reading this this morning I ordered a Nexus 6 that should arrive by Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks for your always knowledgeable response.

  6. You will still be in line behind Edward Furlong, Steven Tyler, and some green guy.

AJ which phone are you considering purchasing, or if you are not purchasing a phone which would you buy today the N6 or the Note edge.

  7. It's this or the Nexus 6, but the N6 lower nit screen performance is a slight deterrence for me. Who here is definitely buying this. rural agreement cat 6 device with great screen, and camera performance is as future proof as it gets. N6 and lollipop or this ehlp a brother make the rational choice. I know this cost more but I will only need to upgrade fora 64 bit CPU rather than have to upgrade for cat 6 future speeds this has it baked in. If this were 64 bit I would not even think about this. The Note 4 is omitted purely because it has no rural roaming or cat 6 feature.

  8. I got the same message, lets hope this is resolved quickly. I personally am in no hurry. I still need a bit of time to sell my G3.

I like my N5 and wonder if I can find it in a store to play with it. This or the Note Edge for me....I want rural roaming bands or I would consider the Note 4! I need to see if the screen lack luster nit performance will be a deal breaker.

Loving the speaker and battery/screen size even though it lags behind the Note 4 it beats the Note Edge in the battery department. I found a store that claims to have them a day ago hopefully I can try both units out. I feel that the Note edge is way over priced, but the rural roaming and better performance for 6.00 more on easy pay evens things out just a bit!

I already ordered a Nexus 6 case, and now I may need a Note edge case....ROFL....decisions decisions. Anyone want to help me just pull the trigger on buying Lollipop 5 and the N6 with lack luster screen, and camera performance over the Note Edge based on the reasons I may get the Note Edge?

  9. Come again?  Nothing you said made sense.

    AJ

Typing Swype and a small box can kill a word or two.

Long hand...The Note Edge has rural roaming, but most 1st time device's have MFG flaws, and the price is way too high.

The lackluster screen of the Nexus 6 leaves a lot to be desired, for the price.

Friday I will have to evaluate all three, but for a better screen, and rural roaming the Note edge has my attention.

I wanted a larger screen, but dual speakers and a mediocre screen is mehat that price.

I tried to edit, and could not then I got busy at work

  10. Anandtechs reviewhttp://www.anandtech.com/show/8687/the-nexus-6-review

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Based on the andandtech and other reviews I think I may just os on this device.

The screen accuracy is killing me, as well as just OK camera.

Note edge has rural rushing but price is way off, but I will look at that our a note 4 I think.

Friday I will check all three, I do the nor edge will have 1st time mfg flaws...meh

  11. I wish the screen was better in the outside day light...... At the price they are charging I would expect to be able to see it in daylight.

    Pro's

    Screen size

    Dual speakers

    Lollipop

    Updates

    Rural carrier surfing

    Decent battery/ Better/OK battery

    Wireless charging

    Qwik charging

    Con's

Camera not top notch for price

    270 nits dim outside brightness

Price way high for screen performance

  12. I don't believe carrier's can add their own software spin to nexus devices. It goes against what the nexus program is all about pure android and android development. It would not be pure anymore if carriers put in their own bloatware.

There is a big difference between carrier branded devices and devices sold by carriers.

Isn't it true that Nexus 5 phones bought on Tmobile won't work on Sprint?

  13. It seems like the Nexus 6 will only be back on the GPlay store site after carrier's launch it. This may or may not diminish the reason to buy a Nexus device. Carriers add their own software spin, and it may not be able to be used on other carriers. I like having the Nexus 5 because of fast updates, and the fact that I have a Tmobile Sim should I ever want to use it, or even an AT&T Sims which would never happen, but I at least had those options.

Will a play store Nexus be able to be used on all Us carriers including Verizon, and would a carrier Nexus 6 be locked to carriers as when launched back in the old Galaxy Nexus lines?

I believe that the success of G Play activation's by carrier subscribers made the carriers pressure Google to raise the price, because the Play store sold 32gig Nexus 5 for the price that the carriers sold 16 gb versions, and they now want to get a piece of the pie.
