Sprint is launching the new plans tomorrow. Truly Truly everything plan. I only had 450 minutes before on simply everything, now unlimited. Plus they have the unlimited guarantee. Wow sprint is rocking now!

But I found away around dealing with slow speeds. I had seached NV 3G Upgraded Sites on google & this random Sprint Page poped up . I read through & I found this code for a service update . It said it increased Speeds so me being the way I am tried it . It increased me to my peak Speeds which is 1mbps & going from .20 to that made me extremely happy.

Actually all that does is update your phone to the latest prl, but If it helped u, then great!

Anyone get 800 to there phone yet?

In the engineering screen I think you can see what band you are on. For 800, you're looking for band 10. However it's fairly likely your iPhone will not be utilizing 800, since the iPhone PRL still prioritizes PCS over SMR.

Is there anyway I could prioritize smr over pcs or will I have to wait for a new prl? Also I think I'm on band 25, that's what enginerring screen said, so I assume that's pcs?

How will we know once we are on a 800 tower? Any way to check because I'm getting better service now. Any way to check on iphone?

So the 800 MHz spectrum if officially free to use. I wonder how long it will take to activate

NV has been picking up, but in the past few months nothing compared from previous months. They must have taken a break till July.

Anyone know reasons behind it?

Is it just me or does it seem like NV in NYC has been progressing super slow in the past 2 months. Before 2 months ago, a ton of progress was made, but now it seems like nothing is happening.

Perhaps, but not in the near future I would assume. I might just have to get the airave 2.0 with the sprint logo and 3G capability.

I think 800 will be starting after 2 weeks. June 30 should be the date for shutdown of iden 800 and shortly after smr should be activated.

I would've taken better pictures but as soon as I snapped this one my phone died . I'm on iOS 7 beta so my battery goes just the slightest bit faster . Next time im in that area i'll retake some pictures.

Isn't that for developers only for now?

I think the tower that went live with LTE (near Springfield Blvd in Queens) is the same tower my phone was connected to when I ran this speed test in February:

 

That's very good for 3G, except pings are a little high.

Galaxy Battery's aren't the best tho. All my friends who have Galaxy's their phones are dead with in the hour .

I forgot to mention in the earlier post that its in a case.

A little OT. But just for the reference, I just recently ordered the ibattz battery for the iPhone 5 and that will probably help with the LTE usage for iPhones. It uses the galaxy s3 battery.

Exactly. I don't always have a solid LTE connection. My iPhone 5 loves to hang on to the weakest useless LTE signals while I'm out so I just turned it off.

 

So our experiences differ slightly.

My iPhone 5 does the same. It's even worse when i have 1 bar and suddenly it connects to optimum wifi and its a weak signal there as well. Absolutely no connectivity and a battery draining. Very very annoying!!!

I don't get it , it seems as though Sprint has been moving a lot slower than before. When they first started the roll out of LTE in the NYC Market they seemed to be moving at a wayyy faster rate than now .

It has been moving along. You just don't hear about every little street being updated, since LTE has been around a ton of places and we don't get that excited any more to post each and every street. It's just a gradual process

Honestly, the summer months will be the most productive as that how construction like comps work, July, August are crazy busy. Pretty sure by the end of the summer most of queens should be set well. Brooklyn is very far! Anyone in the Bronx want to share how its going up there? It was started the earliest. Are their still spots without any signal at all?

Queens is where I live and downtown Manhattan is where I work so T-mobile is so much better compared to Sprint since Queens is lagging. No toggling will get me any LTE signals. Like I said, I am feeling left out.

Are your 3G speeds at least ok?

Have you toggled the radio to see if you pick up any LTE? cause at this point, there is LTE available in most parts of NYC (at least weak signal)

Your speeds seem to be pretty bad, so it's worth a shot. Worst case scenario is you can reverse it.

Question for anyone near 23rd and 7th. Did they take that LTE tower offline. Couldn't get a LTE signal over there today and im not sure if its my device or just the site is offline. I have notice I have seen a lot less LTE on my phone in the last few days but and i know many users have reported a lot of sites offline all of a sudden.

Don't know about 7th ave, but a lot of sites that have been up, are now down, plus I'm noticing the signals that I am getting are weaker then usual. Does anyone have any insight why this is happening with sudden shutdowns?
