It's what SMR will bring to sprint. Consistent throughput!

Does the evo have 800 LTE?
-
Park slope isn't exactly that far away from red hook. But the fact that u got a signal shows, progress.
-
I was in Ikea in Red Hook and picked up 1x800 from Park Slope. That is pretty far! I was so excited!
That's pretty awesome. Which phone do u have?
-
I don't know about other devices but, on the EVO 4G LTE, there is a toggle for better WiFi performance, although it says that it may consume more battery. I wish it had the same for LTE.
That's a software setting. Their is a maximum capability for any device.
-
that's pretty damn good, I'm guessing your WiFi router ain't too shabby. Plus, yes the iPhone 5s I/o performance is showing its muscle.
My router can handle those speeds as it's an ac router. On the the 5 I could never get those type of speeds. I still have no idea how to check to see if I have 800 in diagnostic mode, if anyone wants to help.

It could be that the new chip on the 5S is that powerful. Couldn't get more then 80mbps on my 5 ever. This is solid and consistent. Could be a good radio

From the iPhone keypad, dial *3001#12345#* and hit “Call”
I knew that part, but what am I looking for?
-
Nice! be on the lookout for BAND 26 (LTE 800)...would be awesome to be first here in NYC!,( as far as I know) do you know how to verify on your phone?
Do 800 get those type of pings? I tried going to diagnostic mode. Not sure what I'm looking for. If u could help me and tell me what to look for, I'll definitely take a look.

Got 26 ms and great speeds in a busy Brooklyn area. Btw I'm using the 5S
-
That's also because you are in NYC where the amount of people on your tower is greater than in other cities.
The point was that the poster thought it had to do with the distance to the actual tower.

The guy on YouTube replied with where he did the speed test and it's only a couple blocks away from a Sprint NV upgraded 3G/4G site so it could be legit. Out of all the areas of Tampa, it's pretty close to an area I drive through everyday. I'll see what my Galaxy S III can get this afternoon. I drive out there early in the mornings too around 6am so I'll give it test then too.
I am within 500 feet of an actual NV upgraded site and dont even get anywhere near then that. It's a more stable connection, but those speeds aren't reflective at all.

Tri-Band will be full blown by Spring. Band 41 LTE is already active in New York, and is expanding. Band 26 LTE will be coming online this fall. Tri-Band phones are coming out this fall.
Hopefully all the tribands phone will be configured properly to switch bands fast and efficiently

Who wants to make a petition to start a 800 LTE map for sensory?

Is this legit or have I been lied to. Isn't Sprint's Theoretical high 37mbps ? What is this ?

There is a jailbreak program for ios that will change the carriers name to anything u want. It could be that the person who posted this was on AT&T or Verizon and changed the carrier to sprint with the JB program.

The GS4? That's been out for quite some time. I think you mean Note 3?
There is quite a bit of speculation on why the note 3 is not tri-band. I won't go into it, but you can read all about it on the note 3 thread. And then check out the articles/threads on the LG G2, S4 Mini, and Galaxy Mega while you're at it.

Thanks for the info

Yes... Where have you been? Under a rock?

I guess so. It makes no sense why the GS4 wasn't implemented with it being so new and the mini and mega both have it. Weird!
-
Ahead? Yeah not quite. New York already has TD-LTE deployed. iPhone doesn't have acces to that. The LG G2, S4 Mini, and Galaxy Mega are Tri-Band which the iPhone is not.
So all those have 800/1900/2500 right now?
-
Bro, theres alot of uncovered land south of 1st street and 1st ave...LOL
Could be, I guess I never personally experienced it yet, but in any case the more progress in NYC, the better.
-
Um I figured the lower east side which is even before first street and first ave is the lowest point of manhattan u can get and its full of LTE there.
-
WHAT! I thought that phone would've been does it at least have 800 ?

iPhone is always ahead of the game when it comes to LTE. This is the time to get the 5S for all your 800 needs!

First LTE in the tip of Lower Manhattan accepted yesterday. Finally filling in some of the coverage holes in Manhattan.

Lower manhattan is full of LTE, unless their is a different lower manhattan.
