Some early reviews are not very positive. It's a shame. I was really excited about the G5.

I miss the unified messaging, ahead of its time notification alerts and multitasking cards. I loved the intuitive gestures to dismiss the cards and notifications. I don't miss the crappy hardware.

I can only imagine how great WebOS would be today with today's hardware. Such a shame what HP did.

Yes, definitely. I have been leasing an S6 on a Framily plan since April 2015. For some reason, there has never been a charge on my bill for the phone.

Was driving on Rt. 33 close to route 130. I saw a crane working on the cell tower. Noticed that LTE is now working and it looked like it had B41. This is the first tower in the area that had been upgrade in a long time. This particular area and north to Princeton is still very much 3G. I attempted to map it on Sensorly but was a little late. Will map it better next time I go up there. So nice to see some progress over here. -
Quite possible. My commute is mostly 3G with some LTE. The available LTE is B41. For some reason over the last week it stopped occurring very frequently. But it did happened yesterday in a 3G area. Could be a problem with my podcast app.

Samsung released 6.0 Marshmallow for S6 today. Curious to see how long it will take for Sprint S6's to get the update. http://www.sammobile.com/2016/02/15/samsung-releases-android-6-0-marshmallow-for-the-galaxy-s6-and-the-galaxy-s6-edge-globally/

Last few weeks I've had problems when streaming podcasts or TuneIn radio. The players would periodically just stop playing. I will hit play and it will start streaming until it stops again after a few minutes. Becomes annoying very quickly. Didn't have this issue until a couple weeks ago. Just curious if anyone else with a S6 has the same issues. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Google Hangouts w/Voice (Was Google Voice)

I found the best way to send high quality pictures is to not use hangouts. A regular texting app will send better images but not full resolution. You must use email or a link from Dropbox to do that. -
Google Hangouts w/Voice (Was Google Voice)

Google voice number got ported over yesterday afternoon. I enabled my Google voice number with Sprint. I see that sending a text though a regular texting app also shows in the hangouts app but messages received only show in the hangouts app and not in the texting app. Is this normal or do I have to adjust some settings? -

Thanks to all who responded. Been thinking about doing this for a while. Unlocked my Google voice number. Paid $3. Called Sprint to port number over. Was told transfer would be complete by 3pm tomorrow. Hope there are no issues. -

Ok thanks. I had misunderstood the original statement. Question. I know that after porting my GV# to Sprint, I would be able to use any texting app to send and receive from my phone. And the images would look good. But would I be able to use the hangout app on the iPad to send and receive sms? Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk -

Yes, I already have done that. The issue is MMS is very low quality (resolution). -
Google Hangouts w/Voice (Was Google Voice)

My Sprint number is google voice enabled. Google voice number is the only number I use. Hangouts is the only app I use for texting. I love that I can text from my iPad and computer. The problem is that quality of the image sent through hangouts (MMS) is very low resolution. This is can be a big problem when sending images of text. The recipient cannot read what was sent. I know I can use a regular texting app but that would send it with my regular Sprint number since I have SMS disabled in hangouts. Problem is Google voice number is all I use and to have to use my Sprint number would cause confusion. Since Google voice number is all that I use, I was thinking of porting that number to be my main Sprint number. That way all my sent images will be sent by normal texting apps with good quality. Not sure if losing Google voice benefits is worth better MMS images. All my apple friends use iMessage. Sometimes I wonder if all this can be avoided if I just get an iPhone and use iMessages. But getting an iPhone to send better image texts seem a bit drastic for me. There must be a better way to text good images using my Google voice number? -

Started using cellmapper app to map Sprint's coverage in New Jersey. Most of the state has not been mapped yet. Used it when I took a drive up to Union for work and to Cherry Hill Mall for Holiday shopping. Not much to map with Sensorly anymore since the lack of new LTE areas. -

I know in South Jersey not much has changed in the past year. Not sure where Monroe is, but I would imagine things are like they were in the summer. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. -
Looks like the S6 might get Marshmallow in January if this leak is true. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsungs-latest-Android-6.0-Marshmallow-update-schedule-leaks--Note-5-in-December-S6-in-January-S4-is-a-no-go_id75917

http://www.sammobile.com/2015/10/27/samsung-pay-will-support-more-banks-and-work-with-gift-cards-in-the-united-states/ Chase cards will be supported in the coming months. Used Samsung Pay at staples for the first time the other day. Was suprised how quick the transaction went through. It will be much more convenient to use than the physical card as more merchants adopt the chip terminals (forgot the official name) where you insert your card. Those terminals take a long time to complete the transaction.

Network Vision/LTE - Central and South Jersey Markets

Now I understand why LTE progress has stalled in South Jersey. Most of the towers that do not have LTE are GMOs. GMOs will not be upgraded until the very end. At least that is my understanding. -
Anyone excited about Samsung Pay? Should arrive by the end of this month.

I would check out the Sensorly maps. They seem to be fairly accurate as far as LTE coverage is concerned.
