I agree. The Anaheim area around Angel Stadium has horrible 3g data speeds. Good luck opening a data heavy app like ESPN Fantasy Baseball or the MLB app in under 30 seconds. I hope Sprint has LTE in Anaheim by the beginning of next baseball season. A good friend was torn between getting the Galaxy S2 or an LTE phone (EVO 4G LTE or Galaxy S3) because he gets decent Wimax coverage at his work location in Anaheim, but the 3G signal is awful. He elected to go with the Galaxy S2 because of the current Wimax coverage. But he says the Wimax speeds have digressed, even non existent, now which has frustrated him to the point of contemplating ETFing to another service.

Here's speedtest taken this morning at the corner of Gaffey and Channel streets in San Pedro. If I read Robert's make correctly thie tower near Capitol and Gaffey is past due to receive LTE. Still, the 3g speeds are much improved in the area.

This thread reminds me that I need to start doing some more speedtests around the South Bay and Downtown LA. Before I traded my former HTC EVO 4G LTE for the Samsung Galaxy S III, I did a speedtest last week on Flower Street between 3rd and 5th Streets in Downtown LA. I was amazed the speedtest clocked around 2300kbps down. I forgot what the upload and ping, and I no longer have the info since it was wiped before I traded the phone.

DigiBlur: I would also like to know what you did. I'm currently running stock 1.22.651.3. I stupidly took the update which went against my better judgment. Anyway, I work in a building where I get a horrible 3g signal. And there are times when I do not get any. I'll start the day at 100, and by the end of the day (11 hours later), the EVO LTE barely has any juice. Here's my typical work day: I send about 40-50 texts throughout the day Talk on the phone for approximately 15 minutes Have email and Slice (3rd party Twitter service) pushed to the phone. Surf the web and apps for about 1/2 hour sporadically throughout the day The screen is set to turn off after 30 seconds. Brightness is set at 50% (right where the sun icon is on the Brightness Screen window. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
