I mapped out more LTE signal in San Pedro and Rancho Palos Verdes today. I must day that I'm digging the 4.1.2 Sprint leaked ROM. The phone seems to transfer much faster from 3g to 4g, and hold onto the 4g signal longer. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

When I had the Epic 4G Touch, the phone would pick up a solid Wimax signal....around 5mb down, 1mb up. Not so much with 3g when I got the SGS 3, but at least I got decent signal. Dodger Stadium, OTOH, was a black hole. I read in one of the local fishwraps that as part of their stadium renovations the Doyers are installing numerous cell phone boosters around Chavez Latrine.

If you not running a stock ROM, it very well could be this. When I was using the AGAT Frankenstein ROM, the mappings would not show on the Sensorly webiste where I traveled in LTE areas. The Sensorly app would show the LTE signal being connected and mapped, but however the ROM was built this information would not be transferred to the Sensorly website. So far, this is the only ROM which I have used that had a mapping issue with Sensorly.

Been hanging around Big Bear Lake this weekend. No NV love up here. I've been bouncing between the unoffciail 4.2.1 AOSP ROM and 4.1.1 Touchwiz based Hyperdrive. Best speeds my phone has received are .3 down, .15 up. Can't wait to get back to the LA basin. -

If the site is by the Huntington Drive exit literally next to the 210 freeway, then the building is the Oak Tree Hotel. There's a great hole in the wall Mexican restaurant continuing East on Huntington less than a mile away. Los Gueros is the name. That place brings back good memories when my wife was courting me. Looks like Sensorly mapped around Torrance Courthouse. So, were you a juror or defendant? j/k I mapped some more around the South Bay, in particular the Harbor area. I started my mapping at LAPD Harbor Division, worked my way around the docks, drove through part of Wilmington, and wrapped up my drive in Lomita. It looks like radius of the LTE signal increased at a couple of towers, one in San Pedro and the other in Lomita. A strong step forward by Sprint this week in the South Bay. Keep lighting up towers!

I'm running Frankenstein ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S III and have done so for the past month. It must be this specific ROM not allowing Sensorly app to record the LTE signal from my phone. Just this afternoon I had tracked LTE from on PCH starting around highway 103 to Vermont Avenue. Then from Vermont Avenue to Gaffey Street to Westmont. I even ran speed tests via Speedtest app at a few red lights showing strong LTE signal. Damn. I love this ROM, but I also enjoy tracking when I find LTE in an unrecorded area. What a dilemma.
