    Hello,

For the past few weeks I am getting abysmal speeds in the Loop area. I work specifically at the corner of Franklin and Jackson right by the Sears Tower. My speeds hover at 0.5MB up and down. This is beyond unacceptable. My cell phone is connected to a Band 41 antenna. The cell ID is 133794305. Any known issues in the area?

    Thank you in advance!

I recommend the contracting the same twitter(Marci Carrie) as above and it will get forward to the network team at sprint

My mom is like 40 mins north Tampa I'm getting anxiety about here staying. Talk about 140 mph winds and  praying to God she will be ok.

I hope  everyone in Floridia (including your mom) will make it though this hurricane.

  3. When did you do this testing in KC? LTE roaming on USCC has not been available all that long.

We are talking about LTE roaming and not EVDO roaming right?

    Sent from my LG G5

It is lte roaming from uscc(I checked it with signal check/engineering screen, I just moved back from kc three months ago.

  4. I am aware of the roaming data settings, I was more curious as to if you made any changes to the available LTE bands, or band priorities. As I mentioned, the HTC devices could roam, just never got LTE roaming (pseudo-native or full roaming).

No changes to bands or band priorites, besides the roaming data settings. When I lived in kc, I use to test the us cell roaming down on us-69 about 20-25 minutes south of sprint campus. It would automatically change to it. I am sorry if it isn't doing it for you, I have never been on pseudo-native, so I am sorry I can't help with that

  5. I gotta say, 6 months free Tidal just in time for this exclusive HOV album..pure genius.

Throw in the 1 year of free Sprint service and this crazy LG G6 deal for 89 dollars.

I gotta say, this is the most muscle I've seen Sprint marketing flex EVER.

I agree! I am glad they are finally doing more, the sprint network still has some problem areas. But overall, it is works. I know we all want crazy high speeds, but lets be real. We don't need them, it is just nice to know that the network can support tons of users. If I want to watch tv while at the gym. I can do it , that is all I care about  :)

  6. Hey Cubbiefan, long time no see!

Are you considering getting the U11? I've already ordered it to get active on Verizon when it arrives. I'm glad the unlocked version of the U11 will work on Verizon, despite not having a CDMA radio in it, unlike the Sprint version. This way, it'll keep connected to VoLTE without going onto CDMA, which on Verizon never sounded good to me. Sprint's CDMA always has been my favorite vq, other than the very old Nextel, back before Nextel started shifting over, that is.

Thanks!! Life has been pretty crazy, but you know I always handle it well. Let me know how you like the U11, I am thinking about getting it as my upgrade has been long over due :-)

  7. LTE roaming? You are sure? What settings did you have to change? When I checked the LTE bands that were available, all that I was ever able to get the M9 and M10 to show was B25, 26 and 41. No LTE roaming options. Sprint also indicates no LTE roaming capabilities.

sorry for the delay, got busy with work. I just went into mobile data, make sure roaming is on (slider is to the right), then domestic roaming is on. If you need screen shots, let me know

  8. Question about roaming capabilities... despite all devices supposedly having LTE roaming for the last couple years, my family's HTC 8-10 devices have never successfully connected to LTE roaming (pseudo-native or full roaming). Looking at Sprint's coverage map, it does not show any LTE roaming available for the U 11 either. Is this a problem with the maps or is LTE roaming once again not included in HTC's device

I have the HTC M9 and I have never had a issue connecting to the lte roaming. I wonder why your family has had issues with it, I know I had to mess with the settings to make sure it would allow it to roam, and had a few messages warning me about roaming

  9. Interesting. Must be that area they have a Verizon agreement with for roaming. Where I need it to work (91214) my buddy gets perfect Verizon reception but I can't get on the internet at all? Any ideas? I tried the PRL update, etc.

I have heard that, if you make a phone call. It then registers your phone on the network and then you data starts working. I would try that to start. It has been proven to work on uscc, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work on verizon

  10. Since sprint is having Mobilitie roll out their small cells nationwide and small cells are such a critical part of Sprint's network strategy, how come there isn't much discussion on S4GRU about Mobilitie/Sprint's small cell deployment?

Sadly, because sprint isn't releasing as much information about them. There is talks in market threads about it. But without a lot of information about how they deploying them. Not much to really talk about, until we start seeing a lot more pop up. I don't see a lot of talk about them increasing

  11. Hey don't bash the Clear sites! Ha

I've gotten my fastest speeds on Clear sites (130-140Mbps). Best I've seen on a Sprint site is 120ish. In KC that is.

no bash on clear sites, just saying I cant verify the third carrier/ca for sprint sites when there is a lot of clear sites around.

  12. Any recommendation on a spot that has been confirmed to be a good carrier aggregation enabled area?

Sadly right now I am not much help, I am working in Kansas city area(which is heavy on the clearwire sites also). I do know that a lot of the sprint band 41 sites are more towards the suburbs, with some mixed in the city here and there. I suggest to donate some money to the site, that will help you find where the city sites are located. That will help with your search and other guys from this site also. But that will help you know where the sprint sites are located at least.

  13. I live in the Chicago West Loop and I have a question for the techies here. I just bought the iPhone 7 Plus. I understand this phone is capable of using carrier aggregation technology. I have run various speed tests around my neighborhood and the speeds I get are similar to the speeds I had with the iPhone 6. Is carrier aggregation live in Chicago? Also, how do I know it is connecting to carrier aggregation? Is there any indication other than running a speed test?

    Thank you,

    Angel

You also maybe on a clearwire site

Fascinating to see that since the last quarter, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all added LTE bandwidth and they all still remain in the same places.

Sprint upload speed again is the one thing that is keeping them from second place, I can't wait to see how the tests go next year. The adding of another 5x5 in the uscc acquired spectrum. Then the 2x ca capable upload on new phones. Only getting better day by day :D

  15. Somehow, I missed this in the Sprint press release:

    http://newsroom.sprint.com/blogs/sprint-perspectives/sprint-improves-its-network-as-competition-heats-up-in-kansas-city.htm

I know basically everything about the macro network in Lawrence.  But an outdoor DAS?  I am at a loss.  I do not know where that is, and S4GRU has no record of it.

    AJ

Would they be talking about the ku campus area?? I know it isn't downtown, I was downtown Lawrence for thanksgiving and was on band 26 and it was weak band 26 for most of it.

  16. Personally I don't know... 100 may be on the stingy side on the newer plans, but I fail to see how 300 isn't enough. A fairly common roaming situation is someone on vacation for a week or someone going back to visit family for a week in a non-native coverage area. 300 MB still allows you to send 400 emails, visit 200 we pages, and upload 200 pictures to social media. It isn't going to allow you to slingbox back to your TV at home or stream Netflix, but nor should it for that matter. If people find themselves needing more than 300 MB in roaming on a regular (or even somewhat infrequent basis) a different carrier may be needed for them.

I dont care about the streaming video, my previous job I traveled a lot into roaming areas. I would come close to the 300 all the time, and that was on 3G. I can only imagine, how fast it would go with lte.  As AJ says 25 bucks for 1gb would be good for me :D

  17. Seems to be a midwest issue. Many in the MO market not able to send, but able to receive texts.

I am kansas city right now, and I had to turn on my wi-fi calling to get texts. a lot of people on downdetector.com

saying the same thing. Sprints twitter says it is a nationwide issue, and they are working on it
