  1. NV2.0= activation of SMR 800 service on a wide deployment on both CDmA and LTE. In addition, Clearwire TDd-LTE sites will be utilizing 2500 mhz for spark in huge 20mhz carrier aggregated channels. This is beginning with the Nextel iden shutdown on June 30,2013 11:59:00pm.
  2. anyone will do anything for apple, that is why sprint has to sign a commitment contract just to get the iphone. The funny thing now, is that apple wants every carrier to have the iphone, because other companies like htc,lg and Samsung have made better phones the iphone. Also this is why I don't own a iphone, because they have to do things so much different then everyone else and not always to benefit the consumer
  3. signal issues are mostly a thing of the past with 1x voice on 800, but the n5 I hear is a nice phone. Can't really go wrong with any of the new tri-band phones . 800 lte will be coming online soon, so that will help when u don't get 2600 lte or 1900 lte
  4. welcome to s4gru, make sure to check out the n5 or g2 article http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-357-nexus-5-and-lg-g2-experience-temporary-sprint-lte-connectivity-issues-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/. Shouldn't havent much problems in chicago, Also sprint just updated there coverage map with new spark map in chicago, check it out before u buy.
  5. I was wondering the same thing, considering robert hasn't got any reports about 800 lte yet. I have a feeling it is just clear sites that have td-lte on them with 1900 lte. Because I notice some areas in chicago, that I know 800 lte would fill in really nicely. So that u would have best lte in a lot more places
  6. I have noticed that sensorly ping times are higher then speedtest.net, I pretty much always get lower then 100ms on speedtest.net if the site has been upgraded. With sensorly around 200ms ping, I know they use amazon servers a lot on sensorly.
  7. Get it in gold, That seems to be the one making the most money. I wish I had the money to buy a few and put them on ebay when they first came out. I had no idea that the gold would go for so much lol
  8. sometimes it is hard to be a sprint fan anywhere, but got to remember. That all good things come to thoses who wait lol
  9. This is where 800 lte will help u, u probably will get 4g outside your house from 1900. But 800 lte will really help in this matter, so I wouldn't worry that u won't be covered. It is the nice thing about sprint having three different specturms, 2600 for dense areas with high crowds, 1900 for small 1-2 mile cells and 800 to cover inside buildings and long distances. 800 voice can go for miles over 1900 sites, so as long as you are willing to upgrade to tri-band phone. U won't have a problem
  10. U got it, more then happy to help out.
  11. Yea they do!! I was just in the city a few days ago and my snr was fine and speeds were lower because of usage(being in the medical district) But overall 2-3 mbps during the day, I know everyone would take that over what they are getting now.
  12. http://www.wireless-nets.com/resources/tutorials/define_SNR_values.html they use wireless lan but it is easy read and helps people understand what snr is
  13. Even if they do have al as vendor for your area again, they only have to get permit and put the antenna up. The backhaul will already be there and will be upgraded before they put up the new antenna, I wouldn't worry so much about who gets what. Now Sprint also has tons of money to throw at this, things will get faster at deployment. Softbank isn't about to let the big two take its customers lol
  14. As crazy as this is, Even though I love my s3. I would be more then happy to trade it in for s4 or even better a new tri-band phone .
  15. What is sad, is I wouldn't put it pass att to cause problems for other carriers sadly. They will do anything to make others look bad.
  16. Check your date? I am not sure if u meant to put 1/31/15 or meant 1/31/2014. We only got three months until the uscc shutdown finally
  17. U.S. Cellular customers in St. Louis and Chicago don’t have switch over to a new carrier immediately, but it’s only a matter of time before their phones go dead. Sprint on Wednesday said it is setting a deadline of Oct. 31 to shut down U.S. Cellular’s towers in St. Louis. Chicagoans will get a few months reprieve: The network is scheduled to go dark in the Windy City on Jan. 31.
  18. That is the six providers, I think sprint should cover chicago with 800 lte. We already got 2600 covering most chicago market and not many cell sites with 1900 lte to get backhaul. Then we would could the first market to be on are way to nv 2.0 :-)
  19. http://wgntv.com/2013/10/03/cta-announces-plans-to-upgrade-underground-wireless-service/ Looks like they are working with all the carriers, they still haven't got the design and installation together yet. But still it is good news for people who do ride the blue and red line a lot
  20. Just like tommy said as I was writing my reply lol. 2600 isn't that big of a deal for people in smaller cities, it only helps in big events and big cities like Chicago for example. Also sprint is starting to get in das systems at sporting events and put in more micro cells and double density cell sites. Honestly if you like the iphone 5s/5c go for it, the big key like everyone said is the 800 LTE
  21. Corrected post and I meant to put that in there. I was typing to fast for my own good again lol. Yea tech support don't know when anything is going to launch, network is spread out. It is hard to say that a market is going to launch at one time.
  22. Yea me too!! If it doesn't, u better believe sprint will over bulid. They arent messing around with network vision and now that they got a new sugar daddy. They are going to be in good shape in a few year or less
  23. I didn't look at what phone u have, sorry about that. 3g evdo is staying on 1900 and 800 will have 1x advance(voice only) Then 5x5 mhz for lte besides the southeast where southern linc is.
