  1. RT @Sprint4Grollout: @marceloclaure The 20,000+ members of http://t.co/5HQM37NOIF welcome you to your new position at Sprint. We're looking…

  2. It wasn't. There was 4G signal blasting inside the San Diego Convention Center, but I'm guessing it was overloaded. 3G on the other hand was really, really fast (at least compared to my area in Los Angeles). ~1.5 Mbps down / 1.0 Mbps up. Enough for social media posting and downloading the Comic Con app. San Diego seems to be getting better, not a whole lot of Band 41 at downtown SD or around the area though. I stayed at the Omni Hotel and I haven't really explored Gaslamp yet so I'll report back after my panels and Walking Dead Zombie Run at Petco Park is over.
  3. If it's on Softbank Japan, wouldn't it make sense for it to be on Softbank America Sprint? Economies of scale was one of the reason that Son bought Sprint.
  4. The error also keeps happening even if you switch between Nexus 5's that have been previously activated in your account. In my case, switching from an HTC One M8 back to a Nexus 5.
  5. Would this be because they're joining the Competitive Carriers Association and the Rural Cellular Association? Don't those carriers use 700 MHz and per FCC rules, have to be unlocked like Verizon phones are?
  6. Hi, can you link specifically to this? Or at least which thread? I was looking for it earlier during my train ride and I couldn't find it.
  7. It seems like Sprint has service along the I-81 which is near the town mentioned in the article. However, aren't mountainous regions difficult to service with signal? I'm curious on this matter.
  8. Wow, it seems like they just flipped a bunch of sites at San Fernando Valley and from Downtown LA to West LA to have 3G, 4G, and 800 Mhz Voice service in the last update. The map turned from yellow dots to green dots for those areas.

  10. Can updates to the tower be completed, but still not broadcast any 4G signal? The tower that I live nearby is stated to have been upgraded to with Network Vision 3G and 4G, but no 4G signal has been detected on my Nexus 5, my dad's LG G2, or my mom's Moto X.
  11. Samsung MM-A900: This was awesome for a free phone. HTC Titan: Loved the keyboard. First Windows Mobile phone I had. Made me comfortable with flashing custom roms. HTC Vogue: First touch screen Windows Mobile phone. I hated the on screen keyboard on this. Later became an Android phone. HTC Touch Pro: Smaller form factor, bigger screen than the Titan. HTC Diamond HTC Touch Pro 2: I loved this phone for having the best keyboard I ever used. I touch typed with this phone. Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G: Logical upgrade for the TP2. Using the on-screen keyboard on this made me comfortable with going keyboard less. Also, WiMax was nice around my area. Samsung Galaxy Nexus: First 4G LTE phone, massive mistake since I bought this and no 4G LTE phone and 4G was nonexistent in my area a year after release. Samsung Galaxy S 4: Upgraded to this recently. The radio on this is way more powerful than the Galaxy Nexus. Also, it's nice and light. Been with Sprint ever since 2006 with the SERO plan. I had a Palm Treo 600 on Verizon as well as a Motorola e815 and one of the earlier Samsung camera phones when I was with my parent's lines.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Dodger Stadium went through a process where they put WiFi in every part of the ballpark. -BookerTDub That's even worse then. There was no WiFi to be had during that game. I just wanted 3G to check my e-mail and my Hangouts but alas that didn't happen. Let's see how well it performs when there's at least 20000 people at the stadium.
  13. I went to the Dodger game last night against the Angels. Got signal for 3G and 4G, but data wouldn't work. I would guess that the network's congested. My friend's AT&T 4G LTE phone worked though.
  14. Wow. 101 sites for this week's update. Were they mostly in West LA? I noticed some outages around my area this past weekend.
  15. The 3G in the areas I frequent have been ridiculously slow as of late (sub - 100 kbps) when I used to get at least ~600 kbps. Would that indicate tower work is being done?
  16. 11 sites for LA Metro in the last update. I'm guessing they'll finish West L.A. first before moving towards eastbound.
  17. Picked up LTE out at the 605 freeway between the 10 and the 210 freeways as well. It was 4 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up. I looked at the maps and I think the tower that was broadcasting it was the one near Lower Azusa exit.
  18. Did you install Adblock Plus on your phone by any chance? I had something similar happen to my Galaxy Nexus that I posted here ages ago while using speedtest.net on 3G and apparently Adblock Plus on Android routes web page traffic to their server to filter out all the ads.
  19. This tweet raised $50 for Shuttle Endeavour's new home @CAScienceCenter. Send yours at http://t.co/ERMeh0O8. 0 day left. #TundraEndeavour

  20. I was getting some pretty abnormal speedtest.net results on my Galaxy Nexus yesterday when I went to go visit my parents. I'm pretty sure these speeds are too good to be true.
  21. Atop a huge rock-hewn sculpture stood a grim flagpole creepily adorned with blocky-looking skulls or something like that. #sworcery

  22. Hope my donation helps in keeping the site running. I just wanted to thank you for setting this site up.
  23. only got a twitter account to keep track of the kogi truck
