  1. I was in NW and eastern DC last Monday and lost total voice and data multiple times. So who knows. Metro service is decent all things considered.
  2. Well it is a nice addition to my ghetto, I would have gotten a 4g WiMax phone a year ago had I known this, although I got this one for less than it costs for the insurance and deduction so I can't complain.
  3. OK, I just found out I have WiMax here now, speeds are about 2x better than 3g which is a huge welcome! Does it take a while for Sprint to update there coverage maps on their own website?
  4. How is battery life when you have coverage all day?
  5. Not at the PhoneDog.com guys office. http://www.phonedog.com/videos/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-vs-htc-evo-4g-lte-dogfight-part-2/
  6. How much spectrum does / will Sprint have on the 800mhz block? Will they be stuck with 5x5 there too? While we are at it, how about the 2.5Ghz block too?
  7. Still going to hold off I think on getting a LTE phone, heck I have 3 year old Palm Pre. Sprints 3G is a litter better within DC at times; however, in some places you cannot even stream Pandora, let alone check out a YouTube clip. Still way behind the competition in bandwidth (coverage is fine).
  8. Yeah, order three of those for each tower, then they will have plenty of room.
  9. Pretty sure I remember reading that txts are sent out over 1xrtt and that the phone actually bumps back down to 1xrtt to send a text or a voice call? So if it is already on extended roaming (1xrtt) there is not change, if you are on 3g (EVDO) it has to change?
  10. What month do you think they will get around to doing D.C.?
  11. Sounds like it does not fail the Null Hypothesis to me. Get back with us for some more numbers, because I get similar results every once in a while, but like most. .5mbs is the Sprint 3G fast lane.
  12. Darn, was thinking about picking up a Photon to replaced a well worn but still kicking Palm Pre.
  13. Alright, just remember reading that about 10 years ago... So when my current phone roams, what frequency is that on? It's amazing how 1xRTT roaming can beat out Sprint 3g with full bars on download speeds.
  14. I just remember my 1st phone, Samsung 660 having something about CDMA 800? http://www.cellphones.ca/cell-phones/samsung-a660/specs/ http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=365
  15. Probably has been posted 10x already, but doesn't pretty much all of our phones already have 800mhz CDMA support already?
  16. 25401, nothing going on, and we are talking about .1 to .25 Mbit/s max 3g speeds, no 4g until probably 2015.
