  1. I don't actually understand what the whole rebranding thing is but when it's complete does that mean Sprint can start actively deploying 800 LTE? Well at least in the East Bay [emoji12][emoji16] Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  2. It turns out it was Google Voice integration that turned off texting on this phone. Thanks everyone Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  3. Wouldn't the Nexus 5 the latest iPhones (and possibly some other phones?) be able to take advantage of T-Mobiles LTE network? I'm pretty sure the 5S and the 5C have the same LTE bands as the T-Mobile iPhones. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  4. I've had it enabled ever since I came back to Sprint from a hiatus with AT&T because Sprint canceled my line and told me to leave. But it could have been that I was in Europe 2 weeks ago and installed the google voice app so I could check my voicemail. I just checked the settings and I didn't have receive text messages on this phone. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  5. I just thought of something could it be google voice integration? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  6. Recently I've noticed that on my iPhone I can no longer receive text messages. I can send them but I haven't been able to receive them on my phone. I can send and receive iMessages just fine. Earlier today my mom called Sprint and all they did was made me update my PRL then said I had to go to a Sprint and get my device tested Later this week I'm going to SoCal with my cousins without my parents and I need to be able to text them. I know that the talented and well educated people on this site can help me solve this problem before I go on my mini vacation.
  7. Well as long as you have you have your own router they can't share your internet Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  8. Granted California is huge and even the "all mighty" Verizon doesn't bother trying to cover some areas. So it's only natural that Sprint has some holes in their network. It's just frustrating though because the I5 is one of the major freeways that connects Northern and Southern California together so in 2014 you'd expect some reasonable amount of service along the route. 9. At least in my experience in California Sprint seems to only work in metro areas and anywhere in between don't even try using your phone or you'll get frustrated Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  10. I did the drive towards the end of April and was also extremely disappointed. Roaming was almost as bad as having no service. Meanwhile my moms AT&T work phone was pretty solid but also ran into some dead zones. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  11. There must be something wrong with the dots right?? And I know this isn't B26 because there's none in the area. Edit: added filed test screenshot Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  12. Oh yeah I forgot about Sacramento…mostly just Northern California is really far behind Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  13. I just find it so odd that SF is one of the only major markets that hasn't officially launched. Luckily I live in the east bay where there's actual progress. But there's huge holes that only B26 can fill or a PRL update for iPhone's to actually use SMR… Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  14. So are permits the only thing holding up Sprint here or is it something else?
  15. It's right behind the local fire station in Bayfarm/Harbor Bay Alameda. I'm guessing it has all the carriers here because this part of town is all houses and the HOA probably don't want towers in their developments. So this means there's around 3 towers servicing the entire area. There actually building a light post tower in the baseball field in a nearby park. I'm guessing it's AT&T's but I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks it's not terribly important I was just being curious. This is the site that I connect to when I'm at home and I get amazing B25 speeds so I'm not super concerned for B41. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  17. Just wondering if anyone could tell me of this site has B41 yet. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  18. A quick look on iDowloadblog shows the last software hack to unlock the iPhone was on iOS 6.1 with an iPhone 4 or a 3GS. There's also R-Sims but what I've read is conflicting about using it on a Sprint iPhone. So it's probably safe to safe that there's not way to use a Sprint iPhone on another carrier which sucks because the 5S/5C have all the LTE bands of the other carriers in the US. 19. Sprint must have finally optimized their sites because I now get B25 in more places with just an airplane mode toggle!!! There are some places I don't get LTE like my school and other dead zones that B25 can't reach because of trees or historic buildings that are "impenetrable" (at least for B25). Also I've noticed that I've seen my iPhone camping and switching to 1x800 more often rather than holding onto 3G which kinda disproves that iPhones don't like 800. I've also noticed increased speeds on the "downtown" site which used to average around 3-6 Mbps down now averages around 9-12 Mbps down. I don't know what happened but whatever they did works! I don't think it's Spark adoption because I ran these tests during lunch, and everyone at school has iPhones. Quite a few people still rock 4S's and 4's while the rest have 5C's and I haven't seen anyone else with a Sprint 5S. But there's not that many people who still have Sprint because there's virtually no service on campus, so their families have moved to Verizon, AT&T, or T-mobile (which I'm envious of because the have a tower right in the middle of the campus [emoji35][emoji36]) Anyway like many of you who are also "patiently" waiting for B26, have said that B26 will make this market and let Sprint go toe-to-toe with everyone else. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  20. I'm pretty sure there isn't any b26 here but I'm guessing that there should be b41. I wouldn't know because I have a 5S [emoji12]. But in December I went to a concert at the oracle arena and had amazing speeds with b25 for most of the night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. In 3 weeks tomorrow I'm going to Paris and London so I'm going to get my 5S unlocked soon. Regarding the unlock process do you have to restore because I'm currently jailbroken I really don't want to lose it but I may have to which really sucks.
  22. So that means we won't be seeing any 800 LTE anytime soon?? Darn because summers almost here. Whatever hopefully it's launched before school starts in the fall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. iPhone field test mode *3001#12345#* enter this into the dialer and if your connected to LTE click on Serving cell info I do this almost every single day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Not that it matters but Sprint updated their coverage maps and now some parts of the east bay are spark. I'm ecstatic and extremely discussed by this because I've seen almost no improvement since I've gotten this phone in November. I know Sprint hasn't deployed 800 LTE here yet which is so essential for this market but it's really annoying not really having a phone since 2011. Anyway sorry for this half rant but I just needed to say something. On a more positive note I hope samsung starts throwing those 800 carrier cards at every site whenever they get the chance. Side note: Also I saw the new framily commercial and my mom felt insulted that sprint would claim they have an all new network (with fewer dropped calls and faster data speeds). We just got back from a road trip to SoCal and had the worst experience with dozens of dropped calls, unusable/no data, and ours phones would refuse to roam on the 5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Luckily there is LTE in Alameda but the problem is getting a signal because of all the houses and trees. You can barely manage a weak signal but only in certain spots of town. Can't wait for 800 to spread like wildfire!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
