OK. Looks like the Samsung band selector app does not work, which everyone knew already. The *#2263# menu comes up but I have not tried to actually force any band changes.
Is that menu working for anyone on Tmo?
Guess that was the June update that some people were having trouble with on the S22 Ultra.
My S22 basic seems to work OK for me on the June update.
Guess I will try the July update after all.
Samsung band selector app does not work.
*#2263# brings up the menu and lists the bands but I did not actually select any bands to see if that works or not.
Just curious what everyone does with their old cell phone cases when they trade in the old phone. Does T mobile take them?
I am not trying to sell anything on here, just looking for ideas because I don't know what to do with the UB Pro case from my old S20 fe 5g I am trading in. Ebay? Craigslist? Donate to thrift store?
Apparently I only qualified for the 600 dollar trade in allowance.
Note, I now have the new S22. The reception I am getting seems to better than my old S20 FE 5G. At home I was averaging about 200 Mbps and now I am getting over 300 Mbps. At my local library, I had to use WiFi since my signal was too weak. The S22 gave me a usable signal inside the library.
Just went back and reread some our posts on this thread from when I first opened it back in 2013.
Wow. What a ride we had! We were looking for any kind of usable 3G. Some times all we had were protection sites with virtually no back haul. Now, I get over 200 Mpbs, consistently and indoors at that.
Many thanks to Robert and all the rest of you who have been posting here and making this journey better. Just a little nostalgia ...
Happy Birthday Robert. I am so great full for all you have done with this site. We learned so much about Sprint, the phones, the towers, the frequencies and all the other things about our cell service.
Thank you man, enjoy your day.
Fierce wireless is reporting "The Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) says more money needs to be allocated to the ensure 5G makes its way into rural areas that likely wouldn’t get the new technology without support."
Isn't TMobile doing this without the CCA?
