  1. "even more enhancements coming soon" - He is of course referring to the entire T-Mobile coverage map becoming Extended LTE Sprint service
  2. That's true for me. No way to tell whether roaming or on extended unless using siginalcheck or field test to see what band is being used. Phone will show Extended LTE and an R over the signal bars whether roaming or extended.

Exactly. I really like the phone, best device I have ever owned. But the connectivity issues may be a deal killer.

Mine seems to be having some wonky LTE issues as well. Takes its sweet time picking up LTE coming from a 1x800 signal. The iPhone picks it up right away. Cycling airplane mode will cause the V30 to pick it up, but it seems to take forever to pick up LTE on its own without a radio cycle. Also, doesn't seem to like the B41 signal at all, loves the B25 though, once connected. The HPUE experience so far has not impressed me. On a positive? note, I'm picking up 1x800 in places the iPhone simply can't. This thing hangs onto 1x like a tick on a dog. Maybe it's a phone after its time?

B25/26 given priority over B41 by default?

From what I understand those reports are all from reviewers that had the pre-production phones. Hoping that issue isn't showing up in retail units.
  7. They do! Paintsville's site now has B41, B25, & B26! Allen and Prestonsburg have B25. The Pikeville site was still 3G as of last Thursday, I'm heading there tomorrow morning. Curious to see if it changed over the weekend to LTE or the map is just incorrect. And yes, these 4 sites were previous Horizon PCS (Out of Chillicothe Ohio) installations. I am really loving my Sprint situation in East Ky. I have B41 in town, and good Extended LTE via Appalachian Wireless Band 12 pretty much everywhere else.
  8. Whoa! Lots of big changes finally on the map, Thanks for the heads up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Just finished ordering mine as well. If only Sprint did Saturday delivery...
  10. Can any g6 owners attest to the supposed increase in LTE speed and better battery performance after this latest update (LS993ZV8)? Just how good is the g6 RF performance? And what is wholesale voice over wifi? I'm loving all the v30 talk but for as cheap as the g6 is going for right now it's giving me pause. http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/10/10/sprint-lg-g6-gets-callingplus-volte-wifi-calling-combo-latest-update/
  11. Pros/Cons for the Pixel 2 XL versus the LG V30 on Sprint? Seems like its down to: LG V30- dual cameras and WiFi calling, Quad DAC, B71 if you're the pro-merger type. Pixel 2 XL- Free full res. photo/video uploads, better (albeit single )rear camera, better front camera, front facing speakers, &... It's a Pixel. Both are HPUE and both are 4x4 B41. Looks like two amazing and very similar phones. Any glaring omissions from my little phone decision comparison?

  15. 3 native Sprint radios along US 23 in far Eastern KY. I would love to hear the story behind this. Part of an old planned expansion that was not completed maybe?
  16. Thanks! Nice to know I'm not going crazy. All tech support would say when I told them my phone was saying Sprint LTE was that I had to be mistaken!
  17. Thank You! Sprint support had mentioned a 3G antenna replacement but was careful to say it was not an LTE upgrade. They said that was 6 months away. I guess the support techs are the last to know? How long will this be tested until it goes completely live? Now if I can only get the extended 3G when on Appalachian to not count asroaming I'll be set...
  18. Sprint can't give me a straight answer on this one. Tech support tells me that service on Appalachian Wireless is not extended but roaming and will count against the roaming limit. Sprint stores and the coverage map says it is Extended and will count as on network usage. The reality is LTE seems to work great and counts as on-network, but 3G hits the roaming limit. I can't get tech support to escalate this. As an added twist, occasionally my phone says Sprint LTE and has blazing fast speeds. Speedtest in Paintsville (which is normally 3g only) when phone is displaying Sprint LTE vs Extended LTE is blazing. I've gotten 60Mbps download speeds.
