  1. And is has the Nexus 5 "5" wallpaper. Yea......no, completely fake.
  2. Oh I wasn't saying that in a bad way, just that the larger phones normally have larger batteries, for obvious reasons. Every time a new phone is about to be released, everyone wants it to have everything they need, believe rumors that it might, and then are disappointed and bash it when it is announced. Instead of accepting that it might not be the phone for them, and looking elsewhere. If the battery capacity is that important to your daily needs, you should be purchasing any of the great phones out there with larger batteries today. Not waiting and hoping and blindly believing anonymous rumors that go against all of the leaks from official sources that we have received so far. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Don't get your hopes up. Not happening. If 2300mAh isn't enough for you, go ahead and get a G2 or Note3 or whatever other phablet has a big enough battery for your needs.
  4. You're missing my point. If LG uses SiO in the Nexus 5, it will not last longer. The battery just may be thinner/smaller. The battery still only contains 2300mAh no matter what technology is used. Two 2300mAh batteries, one with Li-ion and one with SiO will last the exact same amount of time because they both contain exactly the same amount of electric charge. But the SiO battery may be smaller. Also, you stated above that the 6% was "on top of the extra 700 maH of the LG G2 3000 maH battery." No, the battery still contains exactly 3000mAh, not 6% more than that, not 3180mAh, exactly 3000mAh, no matter the technology used.
  5. mAh is a measure of electric charge. A 2000mAh battery that is Li-ion holds the exact same amount electric charge as a 2000mAh SiO battery. However, the SiO batter may be physically smaller or thinner. What the article is likely trying to say is that LG got an extra 6% more mAh capacity with SiO than if a battery of the same physical size was was made with Li-ion technology instead.
  6. The same exact model number that supports ATT and T-Mo supports every single Sprint band imaginable. It's coming to Sprint. Whether Sprint will allow ones sold through Google Play instead of their own stores to be activated is another story. We'll see.
  7. Unfortunately adding a bigger battery would mean significant internal or casing redesign. I cannot think of a single other phone that did not ship with the same size battery as what was stated in the FCC filing. The specs are practically confirmed by the filing, its done. It's gonna be 2300mAh, but like i said, if not, ill eat my hat That said, it will still be my next.
  8. Time to start looking for a new phone then. There will be only one battery configuration available, 2300maH, or I'll eat my hat
  9. Currently it is only LTE. However all of the equipment is in place for 3G/CDMA as well, but Sprint has not turned it on yet. The day they turn it on everything should instantly be much better. That said, I dont have much battery drain unless im completely without a signal, which doesnt happen too often. That may be because of newer radio tech in phones and a newer battery.
  10. LTE is pretty dang good in Raleigh these days, and I dont have much battery drain from it. WAY better than WiMAX. 3G is still slow as molasses though, for some reason they have not flipped that switch, despite the equipment and backhaul being in place.
  11. All signs point to 2300mah, a bigger battery would mean pretty extensive case and internal redesign. I wouldn't get your hopes up. With that said I'm still, after almost 1.5 years very happy with my 2000mah Evo 4gLTE battery and that phone is about the complete opposite of efficient.
  12. Any info on how this device performs RF wise in the FCC filing? And how that compares to other devices? Anything is probably better than my EVO, but having a great performing RF device for once in my life would be great. I remember there being a blog post here about how weak the EVO 4G LTE was RF wise. I bought it anyway, and while its a great phone otherwise, i hate its signal strength daily.
  13. If you look, there are clips holding the back plate on. In one photo where the back plate is on, you can actually see one clip that is not pushed down all of the way. The back plate may not supposed to be removed, but it looks like it is possible. A lot of phones' pieces will snap apart with some prying, however they are not intended to be removable. But the final version might be glued down? If you look on the inside of the back plate though, the "cut" does actually look like a cut as the edges look rough (does not look rough from the other side though) who knows.
  14. I agree and am in the same area as you. And the explanation above is spot on. But with LTE, I can finally stream pandora/Google music without drops, no matter how weak the signal :jester:
  15. I live right there as well, and also have an Airrave. 4G has been active on that side of Glenwood for about a month now, off and on. I'm picking it up on the other (WalMart) side as of yesterday, which I believe is served by the Angus Barn Water Tower (Target side is served by the Page Rd tower i believe). So in short, Page Rd was upgraded a while ago and all of that side of Brier Creek has been covered and mapped on sensorly for a while now, Angus Barn is being upgraded now (I think, fingers crossed)
  16. I lose it when I turn on to Kit Creek. Must be because my EVO is weak I'm sure it will get stronger (i hope!)
  17. I work at NetApp, here right now, havent gotten anything yet
  18. After having it everywhere last week, not getting LTE in brier creek or anywhere between it and RTP on 540 as of Sat/Sun. I've flashed a few ROMs since then, is it my phone or did they switch it off after testing? None of these towers showed up in the latest acceptance report either I do not think.
  19. I came here to ask the same question about CM 10.1, because I also thought that the LTE bars were accurate, good to see that confirmed. I'm using SignalCheck Pro (created by a member of this forum) to check LTE/CDMA/1x signal strength, works great.
  20. LTE IN BRIER CREEK WOOOHOOO (usable data for the first time in years in brier creek!) My phone picked it up at Brier Creek Pkwy & ACC Blvd and I had a 4g signal ALMOST all the way to work on the following route: Brier Creek Pkwy & 70 70 & 540 540 & 54 54 & McCrimmon Pkwy McCrimmon & Davis Dr Davis Dr & Kit Creek Rd <- Lost it right here Really Impressed with Sprint's rate of deployment in the area, in about 2 weeks 90% of my most frequented areas are covered.
  21. Excellent, this is only one tower away from my tower at work (the tower down hopson, passed davis on top of the electrical line structure) Btw, is hopson road still closed at the tracks right by miami?
  22. Also got LTE somewhere between RTP and Brier Creek on 540. Not sure where exactly, I just have a tasker profile that launches a notification when LTE is connected and I did not see it until I got home. It could have easily been near RDU as well. I've never gotten LTE anywhere in this area before. I'll keep a closer eye on it in the morning.
  23. I lived right there when I was at State 2 years ago, now I graduate and move up to Brier Creek and my old stomping grounds get LTE while I can't even load Google.com outside of my Airrave's coverage. I just hope they cover the Carter Finley/PNC Arena area very very well. On gameday you can't even come close to doing anything with data, even while tailgating 5 hours before the game starts in the tailgate lots! I used to have to use WiMax to send Google Voice texts!!! I hope not, but I expect this is a not enough available spectrum issue, will LTE help? Verizon has this problem too though, but they are really only affected in the stadium, during the game, and just have really slow data that is normally barely usable. ATT seems to work decently/unaffected. Good to hear they're still working pretty quickly!
  24. Really? I played ingress when it fist came out, got to lvl 7, almost lvl 8, but havent played since like Nov. Are you talking about HoneyBadger, (that was his name then) we used to play together. I see his truck there several times a day. There were NO portals around there when i stopped playing except Brier Creek Cemetery. Now that they have portals that close to home I might have to fire it back up and help the enlightened out
