  1. Frankly, if a user is truly abusing the network, kick them off. Make them suffer with Magenta. And if they have a plan with phone subsidies, too, AJ will come and personally remove them!
  2. I'm surprised they took out the option to wave your hand to scroll. Samsung had an ad showing someone eating BBQ with messy hands and using their Samsung. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  3. Samsung stripped some of those features out for a while now. My Note II could list, but it cannot in my Note 4 (Yet you can in easy mode, which I don't understand). They took out some of the smart viewing features, too.
  4. http://www.lightreading.com/business-employment/customer-experience/the-woman-behind-sprints-chicago-shakeup-/d/d-id/717858 I know this article is a couple of months old, but really interesting. Sorry if it has been posted already.
  5. We know that our phones still drop to 3G occasionally when they shouldn't. I'm guessing RM doesn't look at the network indication, they just test. They don't wait 5 minutes for a Sprint LTE signal to come back if it has dropped.
  6. Maybe it varies by market but in Milwaukee I generally am on 25 or 41 unless I can only get 26. There have been a few sporting events where B41 is too weak and I'm parked on 25. When I would occasionally be on 26, speeds were much better. I don't think we have any Note Edge users here on S4GRU to gauge performance. I think it was the first CA device on Sprint. Maybe it isn't working properly? However, Sprint in the RM test scored first in speeds in Denver. So we can't just automatically blame it on the phone. So far the test results show Sprint in far dead last in speeds in a number of markets
  7. If Direct2U was such a big failure in KC and other initial cities, I don't see them expanding it like they are. Sometimes that personal touch is all that is needed to get the sale vs. Magenta, Orange, and Red.
  8. Noticed something interesting.. had a cheap Sprint prepaid Moto E next to me in a fringe B41 signal area. The Note 4 actually gets about 10db better signal on B25/26, however, the Moto E was still hanging onto B41 on -120dbm or less, and was still getting 30 mbps on a speed test. Anyone notice similar, that the Note 4 drops off B41 when signal is low and switches to the other bands?
  9. RT @downdetector: Southwest Airlines is having issues since 9:32 AM EDT. http://t.co/RJK8aSUw0P RT if it's down for you as well #SouthwestA

  10. Interestingly my GPS is going nuts this weekend in VA.. Unless something in my fancy Cadillac SRX rental is throwing it off. Not likely since a family members basic Samsung grand prime works fine. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  11. FYI #ringplus gives cell service 4 free. Please re-tweet to support the free movement #dontgetmilked

  12. https://discourse.ringplus.net/t/future-phase-7-social-network-parallel-test-opens-wednesday-october-7-at-12pm-pst-as-long-supplies-last/5739 Not sure how they can do this.. sounds like the offer will end today. You give an ad on social media, they give you a free account. I was able to activate an old Wimax (eek) device to keep an account around. I wonder how much Sprint is charging these companies to use their service? MMS is not included, you also have to listen to ads before a call goes through. Apparently you can use a Sprint pre-paid or Virgin Mobile device on it too. Might use that line to play with Windows Mobile.
  13. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/general/lg-sprint-admit-hardware-issue-t3215396 Gives text from Sprint email to stores.
  14. Magenta has on their support page that their Note 4 will receive a Marshmallow update, so that's good news for us! Hopefully we can beat them.
  15. AJ - what are your thoughts on the lackluster RF ratings and what seems like good performance reported by users here in real life? Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah.. That does come across as 'the only market we could find ourselves first in' Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  17. Strangely I'm having that issue on my Note 4. Could be something with my Pebble software though.
  18. If I do need a new battery at 1 year, then that would make me hesitate to buy a Note 6 or whatever with a sealed battery! Ordered a Anker battery on Amazon for $13. Wonder when an update will come to remove the Wal-Mart spinner?
  19. Using Signal Check Pro. Also interesting is my signal strength with the case on seemed to improve when holding it vs setting down.
  20. I noticed something interesting. I removed the Speck case on my Note 4 and signal strength increased 5db+ I know I've read comments that the leather back option for the G4 affects signal. Anyone looked into different case types and how they affect signal? I'm sure a metal case would be even worse.
  21. Sprint. This was T-Mobile international hotspot. Apparently the network actually takes GSM signal on the aircraft and they said it would be disabled when entering north America due to it being illegal. Still worked though Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  22. I remember back in analog phone days when US roaming rates were that high! Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  23. I have noticed there is a new bug (and apparently this affects other carrier N4s as well) that when your battery drops to sub 20% the phone can just shut off way before 0%
