  1. It is interesting.. some think TM is so great because of how open, er, uncarrier they are, yet they may view the 480P video limit as being sneaky and cheap.
  2. Apparently the streaming is 480P Also they need to have a plan 3GB+ to get the free video streaming. Key point.
  3. I wonder how this DVD quality will appear on displays that are higher res than 1080P.
  4. He was bragging about that like it is new. Maybe it is that they are doubling current amounts.
  5. Magenta is announcing that family plans have no shared data, and double data for family plans. So instead of 2GB for the whole family, each person will get 2GB. He did poke fun at Sprint a couple of times.. for one iPhone forever.. or until we go out of business. And that Sprint will copy what they do by tomorrow. As predicted.. video streaming is now free. Is optimized for DVD quality. He claims proprietary.
  6. Cheap shot at Sprint.. iPhone until. we go out of business.

  8. http://www.phonenews.com/sources-indicate-us-cellular-t-mobile-roaming-pact-imminent-30839/ This article seems to think USCC+T-Mobile deal is coming. It does seem like USCC's decision and Sprint having more roaming partners are in a stall. Maybe it is Sprint, or USCC is negotiating with both and in a stall.
  9. A few Samsung phones received an update today and one of the enhancements was global roaming. Probably not for that issue but just an FYI. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  10. WiMax forced to stay up for now: http://www.androidcentral.com/sprints-old-wimax-network-will-stay-online-now-due-judges-ruling-lawsuit
  11. Do you have S Voice enabled with the home button? I know that can delay its response.
  12. I'm going to toss out one possibility for the battery life optimization in the last update. Same for the Note 4 update I just received. Website says Sprint Global Roaming and update popup mentioned battery. When I was roaming in Europe on Global Roaming, my battery was draining like crazy. I wonder if those two enhancements go together.
  13. Not necessarily.. B 41 can go up to 80 without CA. If you received 30 max before then yes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  14. New update today! The install dialog did mention battery optimization. I'm going to toss out one possibility for the battery life optimization in the last update. Website says Sprint Global Roaming and update popup mentioned battery. When I was roaming in Europe on Global Roaming, my battery was draining like crazy. I wonder if those two enhancements go together. Unfortunately the Wal-Mart Spark Spinner is still there.
  15. While the Note Edge is not a top performer, we can't take the results and automatically blame the phone. Sprint did extremely well in Denver in the latest tests using the Note Edge. Some other markets were not as good. Salt Lake City was also very good. It is the first CA handset.. I do hope that proper testing has been done with the firmware on it. First isn't always the best Cough EVO LTE.. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  16. You'd think if they added one micro cell SOMEWHERE they'd announce they are starting it. That's concerning.
  17. http://www.rootmetrics.com/us/rsr/portland-or/2015/2H Hmm.. Sad.. Sprint gets 19.7mbps (from 7.7mbps), even faster than Verizon, yet they trail Verizon and Magenta in the speed ratings? Maybe uploads were not as good, or their testing scores are messed up! That's quite an impressive jump.
  18. RT @TheTeditorial: There have been 44 presidents, 47 vice-presidents and now 54 Speakers of the House. First time one of them from Wisconsi…

  19. You'd think somehow Sprint could get WiFi calling working on Nexus devices. I know it is a non-standard version of WiFi calling, but they were able to get it working on an iPhone!
  20. http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-N910P-SPRINT/OJ6.rdf Looks like new ROM in testing. (credit poit on XDA) Still 5.1.1 I'm guessing Android M will be a bit of a wait still.
  21. Kansas City Royals in the World Series = More advertising for Sprint! Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  22. The 2G data in Europe was too slow. Even Google Maps struggled to come up. 3G data was much better. I'd suggest Open World for that reason. $30/GB is reasonable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
