About time. It's been a few months since a new market launch.
-
How did the Cleveland market go from no ETA on a launch and an estimated completion of late 2014 to an anticipated sprint 2014 launch and completion by June 2014? Did they increase their activity in this area or something? I still pass by plenty of towers with not even new antennas.

Sensorly crashes very often on my N5.
Clear the app data, maybe?

Carrier. Not band. Three Band 41 carriers. Not three bands. If you read all the interviews involved and put it all into context, Spark is just Band 41. It does not involve Band 25 and 26. Those become backup bands in Spark areas.
Robert
Oh, so they are only doing aggregation in Band 41 (and not a combination of band 25, 26, 41)?

I just looked at the Sprint coverage map real briefly but how is the yellow coverage any different than the orange coverage?
Also one of my pet peeves about the Sprint coverage map is that the window is so darn small and looks so outdated. Sprint should really hire someone and redo the whole coverage map to make it a look a lot more nicer. The coverage map should take up at least 50% of the webpage.
I'm GUESSING the yellow coverage is where they have LTE in the 800, 1900 and 2500/2600 bands.

Has anyone seen the new Sprint coverage map? It now shows Spark coverage.

Does anybody have any knowledge (or rumor) of the new release date for 4.3 for the Sprint GS3?
-
I'm guessing 12 weeks for the market to be completed. I believe someone (An Ericsson technician.) once told me that November 18th is going to be the launch date for the Cleveland market.
Ha ha, I HIGHLY doubt that. There is barely LTE available anywhere in the Cleveland market.
-
It's interesting that they haven't updated their coverage map yet.
-
Anyone getting above 10-20megs on lte?
When I was in an LTE area, i was able to get about 30Mbps down/ 8Mbps up
-
The LTE coverage maps are not accurate.
AJ
Oh. Well that would explain that. :-)
-
I have noticed on Sprint's coverage maps, that if you compare their voice coverage and their LTE coverage in a given area, you can see that there is more LTE coverage (in areas where they don't have voice coverage).
-
So here's a question. Let's say in the area you are in, there's Sprint 3G service, no Sprint LTE service and MetroPCS LTE service. Which one would the phone pick?
-
Well I tried to activate a pre-purchased Sprint MiFI 500 on freedompop, but they emailed me and said they only activate ones sold by them.
-
What about when you zoom in?
-
Has anyone actually been able to activate a pre-purchased MiFi 500 through Freedompop online? If so, how did you do it? The website won't recognize my MAC address or ESN.
-
Did Sprint have Nextel coverage/towers there before the Nextel network shutdown? Maybe they'll convert those towers?! (fingers crossed)
-
Would there be anyway to check for LTE 2600 service with an unactivated Novatel MiFi 500 hotspot?
-
Here's to hoping the old Nextel towers in eastern NC get converted!
-
-
Yup (at the right angle). It's just north of the highway practically in the OverDrive parking lot (the big blue and grey building).
What should I look for to verify pending upgrades? I can snap a picture and upload it.
That, I don't know.
-
That IS a Sprint tower (you can see it from 480, correct?).
-
If Sprint announces new markets today, it would have been six weeks since it last announced new markets (http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-turns-up-4g-lte-in-41-more-locations-expands-lte-coverage-to-151-markets.htm
).

I think the next iPhone will be out before we start seeing LTE deployed network wide in band 26. I think band 41 will get there first (it already has a head start).

Sorry, Oct 29th (http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-expands-lte-coverage-map-and-turns-on-more-4g-lte-markets.htm) So a month and a half, if you want to get technical.
