  2. looks like all the evo have cleared customs shipping out soon according to ISN http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/author/insidesprintnow/
  3. lol you should read some of the threads in the sprint forums. Lots of people so outraged at sprint, I started a thread thats titled "So you pre order a phone with no known shipping date and now your mad its delayed!" Just to see what kind of response I got from taking a positive view of the situation, well the response was less than positive lol. I mean towards sprint that is
  4. They ship me my new phone and I keep my hate mail in the draft folder!
  5. ISN claims that a new delivery date of 5/23 is going to happen, but says its a preliminary date. http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/
  6. ISN is now claiming that a new launch date of 5/23 is a go http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/ or it might not be a go.have to wait until later for a confirmation I guess
  7. People who order there phones on the internet recieved status saying your phone is on its way hoping to be there before the 18th ...yada yada yada. I did my order over the phone back on the 10th, and my status has never been updated online. I did check my status the day after my order on the 11th and was told then by order support that it was on back order. Looks like the phones were shipped earlier, but the problem is just coming to light now.
  8. This is just making me want to NEVER buy a Apple product more than ever before! I don't think I will be pre-ordering a phone again. Waiting for a product to actually hit the shelves looks like a good idea right now. Hindsight of course is 20-20
  9. Being with sprint for a longer period of time does matter to them. I did my pre-order on 5-10. After my order was set and I used my upgrade, I checked to see when My next upgrade would come around. I am eligable on 5-1-13, 355 days from when I ordered my evo, so says sprints website. Still getting my yearly upgrades, even though sprint premier is discontinued. I guess 12 years of loyalty is paying off.
  10. Well I finally decided to go with a samsung class 10 card. The price difference between the cards was what finally tipped the balance. It wasn't much more $$ for a class 10 32gb card in comparision to a class 4. The decreased time to transfer videos also was a plus. Hopefully my card will be delivered before the phone
  11. I want to get a new micro sd card for my evo 4g lte. The question is do I really need a class 10 card for shooting 1080p video, and using the fast shooting camera, or will a class 4 card do the job?
  12. I watched that video and said thats one freaky looking dude. Now I just don't know what to think lol
  13. I pre-ordered my evo today over the phone from order support. The rep said the first deliveries will be on may 17th, but it could also be 1-3 business days from that date.
  14. HD voice requires 2 Hd voice capable handsets. The feature is not yet supported, on sprints network it is a future upgrade coming to sprints network
  15. It all depends when your bill is generated. My bill will be generated for my account on the 18th according to sprint, same day as every other month. They said thats when the charge for my phone will show up. You have a credit showing on your account when you place your order and your card is charged, but the actual charge will show on your next bill
  16. Ok after receiving my confirmation email It turns out the sales rep put a order in for a lg viper instead of a Evo. She had me confirm the model at least 3 times, and said evo 4g lte pre-order every time. Currently have sprint order support on hold right now been trying to get a resolution for the incompetance of the sales rep. This is been the worst customer service issue I have ever had. I have to give the rep I have on hold alot of credit, he hasn't hung up on me and I haven't been real quiet about the problem.I did apologize for all the yelling I know its not his fault. They are trying to put my preorder thru without any additional cost to me right now.
  17. I just had my upgrade eligeblity reset this morning. After a botched attempt to do my pre-order online and having sprints website screw up my upgrade after canceling the first order. I decided to do my pre-order over the phone. My total for my upgrade done over the phone with sales came to $175. It was $25 cheaper to go thru tele sales than ordering it online. They gave me a delivery date of the 17th over the phone. If you haven't preorder online do it by calling sprint, I saved $25, but it took me ten minutes on the phone well worth the time I think.
  18. I am a 12 year sprint customer and former premier gold customer. My last premier upgrade was eligilble on 3-1-12. I just bought a Gnex. But the weird thing is 2 days after purchasing my Gnex I checked when I would be able to eligible for my next upgrade and it came up with 339 days a date of 4-1-13. Not sure why but that is less than a year after my last purchase just checked again and same date. I just returned my Gnex for full credit and they are restoring my update status for the purchase. Hoping after I get my evo 4g lte it still hooks me up with a 1 year upgrade. only time will tell.
  19. No you didn't miss it, But they did say more information would be revealed in North American events. Sounded like they didn't want to add a negitive vibe to there big reveal, and are waiting for a US event to give us the news
  20. I watched the live event, but almost feel asleep. They should try to find someone who speaks english as his/hers first language for a english presentation. I was left a little indiffrent about the phone. Didn't really sway me one way or the other in chosing the evo 4g lte, or the SGSIII. Not really intrested in talking to my phone, the camera app is very close to that of the evo 4g lte, and the pentile display was sort of a turn off. Nothing to really sway me in favor of the SGSIII. I think the evo 4g lte will be my next phone. Did like the wireless charging option.
  21. Sprint has its software update to fix the data connection problem. It also address a problem with incorrect network time, and a issue with google wallet. Of course my return kit came yesterday and I shipped my phone back before the release lol. Should make alot of other people happy.
  22. Well I have had issues with my Galaxy nexus from day one. Namely no data connection. Had the phone replaced once still had no data connection. Today I sent it back to sprint for full credit. Sprint is aware of numerous customers who after activation lose all 3g data service. And while lots of phones are affected, many users have no problems with data service. Of course Sprint says a software update is being rushed to address the problem. I wouldn't buy a galaxy nexus from the internet, buy it in a sprint store and have it activated, and verify that your data service works before you walk out of the store with it. The galaxy nexus was a nice phone and if I thought they would have a software update out before my 14 day period for return was up I would have kept it. But I think the evo 4g lte will also be a sweet phone and I will be happy to wait for its release. I think most people would be happy with either phone but for me Its got to be the evo. 2 galaxy nexus phones neither worked properly, spent 7 hours of wasted time with online chats phone calls and a 2 1/2 hour lousy experience in a sprint store and I have had enough of the Galaxy nexus experience.
  23. I saw a sprint tech post in their forums that the problem has been identified, and hoping for a release of the software update sometime early next week. said the update was in testing. But of course he wouldn't commmit to a date. I already replaced my phone once at a corparate sprint store and that phone had the same data issue. Order support rep is sending me a return kit for full credit. But if the update does roll out next week I will keep the phone. I was told I the phone had to be returned within 10 days after receiving the return kit, so I have a little time to wait for the update. So now it is a wait and see.
  24. Well I just spent 90 minutes on the phone with sprint. Tech support tried resolving my issue, had me do a factory reset, and several other meaningless tasks and then they decided my phone needed to be replaced. They said they had a internal memo which said some GN phones were having problems connecting to 3g data. Then they shipped me off to Telephone sales for the return and replacement. They in turn acknowledge the problem and say it is affecting all GN phones and that replacing it won't fix my problem. They claim that a software update is needed and they won't replace my phone, but that I can return it for full credit with the 14 day trial period. Of course they say Samsung is working quickly on a software update, but they can't say how long until it comes out. I really liked the phone except the lack of data service. I have until May 6th to start the return process. The really crappy thing is lots of people are having no issues what so ever, and they claim replacing it won't fix it but a lot of people have gotten replacement phones and are now happy. Feel like I am being jerked around big time. Not making me feel warm and fuzzy about Samsung or Sprint right now. Still haven't decided if I am going to wait until the 6th and return it then. Samsung doesn't have a good track record of timely updates, the Froyo Epic 4g incident is stil fresh in my mind. I would not order a GN from sprint online or over the phone at this point. Buying one in a store and having it activated before you leave and testing your data service is a lot better choice.
  25. Well I received my GN today, and have had problems with it from the start. After having to have a customer service rep activate it, in a painfully slow chat session, I have no data service at all except wifi. Tried another customer service chat session with a assuarance that he would fix my problem, by resetting all my services. That didn't work. Then I decided to check in the sprint forums. Seems there are reports of simular problems, and sprint is having to replace a lot of defective phones. http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/415210#415210 I am starting to wish that I had waited, and not bought so soon. Tomorrow I start in with tech support, which is a problem because this is my only phone. If they can't fix this and get me a working phone soon It is looking like this phone is going back and I will pick up the Evo 4g lte when it comes out in June.
