Huh. What's weird is on my att iPhone, in settings>general>about there is a thing called "IMS Status" and its value is "Voice & SMS" but I can't seem to find that on my sprint iPhone. I have also seen this on tmo and vz iPhones...

That's because Sprint doesn't send SMS over wifi calling on the iphone. It says only "voice" in that field on a sprint variant.

Yeah, my order tracking just updated with a tracking number. No email, though. This is like my 4th online order from sprint, and I've never once received a shipping notification email.

I hope that you get some answers, the total lack of band 26 optimization is out of control... I understand they need to use it for capacity over coverage but enough is enough, they need to adjust Irma for maximum coverage already. The 3G holes (where band 26 should cover) are getting old.

It really doesn't need to be used as a capacity later. We have 2x band 25 and 2x band 41, Sprint and Clearwire. Maybe it is optimized and this is the best it will be? Maybe sprint is waiting to optimize? Who knows. Hopefully, Tracy can provide some answers.

I'm not sure if it happens in other cities, but the cargo plane from overseas arrives at Chicago O'Hare, and is trucked with an escort to Lexington. Every phone I get from Sprint ships from there.

The bad news is...STILL NO B26 OPTIMIZATION!! He reports dropping off LTE all over the place to unusable EVDO quite frequently.

I've contacted Tracy Nolan on Twitter about this recently, and was instructed by her to send a detailed email, so I did. We'll see what comes of it.

To play devil's advocate, I suggest that you guys think about what you are doing.

I don't think adaptation will ever reach a level high enough to dent the online advertisement business. And if it does, I have zero remorse. They ruined it for themselves with tracking data, and constant pop-up ads. It's annoying, and very, very intrusive.

Same here on the southside. It has to be storm related. No phone calls, data works fine. My wife is imessaging me in a frenzy because she can't make phone calls and is getting dozens of repeat text messages sent to her. I just turned off Wi-Fi calling on her phone, too, and won't attempt to text her instructions to get it back on.

I've dumped the Facebook app from my phone for now. Two days in a row, I've woken up to a loss of 15% battery because of that app. It was always running, and had 11 hours of background activity since I last charged up. That's quite terrible.

Another idiot with the golden goose who let his emotions restrict his cash flow. The same thing happened with the flappy bird creator. Let me code a number one app that brings in thousands upon thousands of dollars. I promise I won't have emotions.

 

Edit: or, some huge advertisers cut him a massive check to pull it so they can continue business as usual.

Just about every call with my wife is now HD since disabling wifi calling on both iPhones. I don't need wifi calling, so it's staying off for good, unless there's an emergency. I've never been without sprint/roaming voice since I've been with them, and I don't leave the country, so it's pointless.

There are animation hiccups system wide for me. Not horrible, but they're present. I also have the text delay problem. I give it a week before Apple releases 9.0.1 to solve these issues.

I was looking for that new "wifi assist" feature, and low and behold, it's buried at the bottom of settings--cellular. Shouldn't that be in the, um, wifi section? Doh.
