  1. I really want to respond, but I feel we iPhone users are a peaceful group. I don't want to initiate a flame war about who's phone is cooler. It's sort of sad that admins get to bash iPhones, and the plans that Sprint is offering (which has nothing to do with the dozens of users in here), but if an anti-android rant gets posted somewhere, it would most likely be deleted by said administrators.

  2. Now that 0.3 and 0.4 are out, it's been rock solid for me. You just need to follow the instructions perfectly. (Restore in iTunes, restore your backup, THEN jailbreak) And of course airplane mode, passcode off, etc.

Who did this jailbreak? I haven't followed up on it one bit. Is it evasi0n?

  3. Tweeted out to Sprint Care and Marcelo. Got a quick response from Marci Carris, SVP of customer care!attachicon.gif ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414979877.558472.jpg

I reported data trouble through the Sprint zone app. Not sure if people at Sprint check those, but it was better than nothing. At least you got an actual person and not one of those notorious Sprint social media autobot.

  4. Welcome to the party.

FYI all those speedtests were done on B41 which are now humming normal at 40-60 mbps once they fixed the issue.

Garbage. Downtown Chicago is front and center right now with Nik Wallenda walking the high wire now on the Discovery Channel. Bad data experiences downtown I'm sure right now.

  5. So it doesn't have a screen lip.

It has a slight raise for "lay on the table." It is also a hair bigger than the lens so the back can be placed on a table without damage.

I think he just means the bottom edge. So it's recessed enough to not rub on you when you use it.

    Exactly.

  6. This is really great news. As a heterosexual male, I feel we need more of these high profile figures announcing their homosexuality. Maybe it will help (even a little bit) some younger folks deal with their own sexuality. We live in such a ridiculous world where people have to hide and suppress their true desires. It's so archaic how some people feel about these groups that it makes me sick. Way to go, Tim. Now, can we finally go back to the old Apple logo? :)

  7. Big connectivity issues on my home tower yesterday and today. 0.01kbps/8mbps speed tests and nothing will load. I wonder what's been going on? Or if this is just all part of that Sprint outage in our area for the last week or whatever.

  8. The bottom edge where it's open seems like it has a sharp edge sometimes. That sharp edge has dug into my fingers before and it causes some slight pain when holding the phone.

No. It's not bad. It's quite dull, actually. Give it a shot; Amazon has a very easy and quick return process

  9. When you hold it with both hands does it dig into your fingers at all? That was always my main gripe with them but the design is pretty damn close to what I was looking for.

You'll have to explain your question a little better. It has rounded sides, and the top and bottom are uncovered. Feels nice in hand with zero discomfort.

  10. The apple cases are a little hard to get off. Starting at the bottom and working up seems to make them a little easier. It's a good feeling to know that your phone is in its case securely though.

My leather Apple case for the 5s was impossible to remove. I had to use a credit card and pry the phone out. I'm obsessed with this minimal case from Amazon that has a matte finish to it. It has such a perfect grip to it, and it doesn't stick in your pocket at all. I hate cases, but this is a great balance for me

  11. Not entirely true anymore. I see 1x800 all the time now, on my iPhone 6+.

Well, then maybe something has changed with the new 6/6+. I don't ever look, because it's too difficult to check while on a phone call.

  12. so if the iphone 5s, iphone 6, LG G2, and LG G3 are all on the same PRL (51103), what does that mean for 1x800 on either phone? do the LG phones now have a low priority on 1x800? or do the iphones now have equal priority on 1x800?

Most Sprint phones share the same prl/number. The iPhone's lack of 1x800 voice is an apple issue. The phone just chooses to ignore it.

  13. Odd the update puts band priority as the below:

    25>26>41

Would of expected it to ideally need to be 41>25>26

It's only an initial scan. It means nothing. You'll always end up wherever the network deems necessary.
  14. Many of them are provisioned the same backhual speed as the 5 mhz carriers so they mostly top out at 40mbps as 5mhz FDD tops out at ~37 mbps.

The backhaul providers will be busy delivering more bandwith for the new carriers soon enough. It'll be much easier this time as they're mostly fiber based or other types of easily scalable backhaul. There's already a number of sites starting to hit 60-80 mbps after it was turned on and initially provisioned 40 mbps.

Is this something simple? Like, just a phone call or an order of some sort? It doesn't require a site visit, does it?
