  1. How often do y'all look at the back of your iPhone?
  2. Too bad those hundred MB apps can't be ran from the cloud.
  3. I just heard about that. I pay $59.99 for 500 min/unlim txt/unlim data now, so I'll probably switch to that unless there's some reason I don't know about. I don't need unlimited minutes, but whatever. If I stick with SERO, will I be able to get a subsidized iPhone instead of Easy Pay, or does Sprint not do subsidies anymore?
  4. If I'm on a SERO plan what do I need to do to upgrade when the iPhone 6 is released? Will I be able to keep my current unlimited data plan?
  5. I'm not on the beta, but when I had that on iOS 6 I fixed it by signing out of iCloud and back in.
  6. It's ok if you don't like it. Different strokes for different folks.
  7. I would love to see an "iPhone Active" that was waterproof. Would buy that in a second.
  8. Oh please please please. My iPhone 5 has a battery that lasts less than two hours nowadays. Just holding out for the new 6.
  9. I see that SMS Relay is now in the latest beta. Has anyone tested it yet? Does it also work between an iPad and an iPhone, or only with an iPhone and Yosemite?
  10. Yeah I find Siri really useful. Love the WolframAlpha integration that's already there. I do quick conversion with it, like how many ounces are in 12 tablespoons, and what are the prime factors of a number. It's also handy for setting a quick countdown timer or alarm for the morning.
  11. That won't get posted until the day of the official Apple announcement.
  12. Rootmetrics released a pretty big update. It now uses fasted speed instead of average when displaying its color hexes. You can still see the average speed if you drop a pin and look at the details. It also has a new setting for "Best Technology found." This differentiates between 2G/3G, 3G+ and 4G.
  13. I'm not crazy about getting that either when the final version comes out. I prefer Downcast for my podcasting needs.
  14. Had to force the update, but my iPhone 5 is at 51101 now.
  15. Got around to watching the keynote. The Continuity thing looks to be a fantastic feature. I hate having to go check my iPhone across the room when I get an SMS message, and now I'll be able to reply to those messages from my iPad or desktop Mac. Phone calls could be useful too, but I'll have to wait to see how well speakerphone works first. Switching among your devices while writing an email or working on a document and seamlessly continue your work will be useful as well. Finally apps can share data and work on the same file. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the upcoming features of iOS and Mac OS X. Added features that competitors had that were really needed and some new features to keep them on their toes.
  16. I'm excited about the third party keyboards. Swype and SwiftKey were the only two apps I missed from my Android days.Hopefully both make the move over to iOS. Edit: Swiftkey already announced: http://www.imore.com/swiftkey-keyboard-will-be-coming-ios-8 Lots of behind the scenes improvements, and tighter integration between iOS and Mac OS X especially on the iCloud side. Looking forward to the fall.
  17. Hoping that they also update iMacs and/or Mac mini today so I can replace my seven year old iMac. They won't update the iPhone because developers haven't updated their apps for iOS8 yet. Also hoping for Mac OS X Siri support and icon change support on iOS.
  18. Years ago before it was selling out, I convinced my then employer to send me to a WWDC. Was great, and I got to see The Wallflowers play at Apple HQ one evening.
  19. I hope it's sooner rather than later. My iPhone 5 batter is not what it used to be.
  20. http://www.imore.com/sprint-hopes-make-all-their-smartphones-sim-unlockable-february-2015 "Sprint is working to ensure that all devices developed and launched on or after February 11, 2015 are capable of being unlocked domestically." Looks like it will apply to both iPhones and other mobile devices.
  21. I tried out fire chat, the tech seems cool but that global chat...
  22. Apple releases TD-LTE tablets in China. press release No word on frequency bands in the press release.
