  1. Ok, let me make sure I got this straight. This proposed iPhone for Life (hereafter i4L) plan, is that $50 total or $50 + $10 smartphone fee? If so, here's how my current plan would stack up against the i4L plan if I'm reading everything right. If I'm doing this right, I would save almost $200 over two years by switching to the i4L plan AND also get unlimited minutes (not that I've ever gone over). I'm currently on one of those SERO plans. So is there any reason for me NOT to change to the i4L plan? (edited to replace the table which went poof with an image file)
  2. If I get an iPhone 6 64GB and do a subsidized plan as a current Sprint subscriber, do I pay the $299 immediately or does it show up on my next bill cycle?
  3. It lets you tap on something on your iPad to share your iPhone connection. Handy when your iPhone is across the room and you need to turn your hotspot on. Here's details on all the Continuity features. Continuity and the new Messaging features are what I'm looking forward to the most in iOS 8.
  4. I'll find out next month! (hopefully)
  5. I'm excited about getting Spark. Since the Spark world is going to be new to us iPhone users, I went and looked at the list of announced Spark markets. Looks like all the major Texas cities have it launched, so I'm happy.
  6. Ah, so you were talking about the full price. I hope to get the subsidized 64GB model for $299. I'm not going anywhere. Sprint also has a new iPhone plan where you get an iPhone 6-16GB for $20 a month. It's a lease, but you get to switch to the 7 in two years when that new model comes out. Glad you enjoy your phone.
  7. What do you mean? The pricing is the same as in the past if you're getting the iPhone 6. The iPhone+ is $100 more though.
  8. BTW if you're not sure what size to get, Ars has a PDF you can print out to compare the dimensions of the iPhone 5 vs the 6 vs the 6+. Definitely getting the normal 6.
  9. I'm certainly not complaining.
  10. Did they say when the iPhone 6 would be available to look at in stores? I'm pretty sure I'm getting a 4.7 instead of the 5.5, but it would be nice to see them in person first to make sure.
  11. Now I need to learn how to send in those B26 and B41 updates since apparently I'm the only S4GRU user in Houston.
  12. It's a phone. Not a battle.
  13. Sprint wasn't on the VoLTE slide. Doesn't mean it won't happen, it just isn't there at launch.
  14. I'm refreshing iTunes because U2 is my favorite band.
  15. Love that the mid-tier model is 64GB. Last time the middle model was 32GB and I'd love to have more.
  16. Here's a thread on reddit with how to watch it on VLC: http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/2fts64/a_reminder_than_windows_users_can_watch_the_live/
  17. I wonder if it works on Safari on Windows? You might also be able to use the stream URL in VLC.
  18. Forget the tech blogs, wait until you see how many Android users on this forum are posting in this thread tomorrow afternoon.
  19. In the past, Apple usually didn't immediately sell unlocked iPhones for a month or so.
  20. I like my iPhones like I like my women: no hassle right to my door.
  21. Since I'm an iPhone 5 user, I'll already be getting an improvement by getting b26. I really hope the 6 gets b41 since Houston has it already, but if I can at least finally get decent indoor LTE at my parents and grandmother's I'll be satisfied.
  22. From the pictures I've seen (link), it looks like the plastic tab is in the middle and then shifts to whatever side is needed when you plug in the connector, so it should work with any USB port. More recent rumors said that reversible USB won't be part of the iPhone 6, however.
  23. I'm just glad that the next USB spec has a reversible connector. I swear 90% of the time when fumbling around plugging something in, I get it wrong the first time. Bringing this thread back on topic, It's rumored the iPhone 6 may come with a reversible USB connector. That would be great too.
  24. Have you seen the Charge card? It does most of what you're asking for. http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/07/28/review-chargecard-thin-usb-cable-with-apple-lightning-connector Another company has a lightning charger that looks like a key and fits on your key ring. Wouldn't work if you were plugging it into a wall, but it would work okay for laptop.
