  1. No, it's very clearly "an" LTE, but we choose not to berate you for using "a".
  2. Well, I'm still anxious and available to beta test an iPhone version that reports data to your servers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The Bloomberg article: http://mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-04/sprint-said-to-eye-metropcs-bid-to-rival-t-mobile-offer.html?cmpid=yhoo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Bloomberg reports that Sprint is preparing a counteroffer for MetroPCS.
  5. Absolutely. Google Maps for iOS is absolutely inferior to Google Maps for Android.

  7. The iPhones come with a carrier-branded SIM card installed, so I think it's before that stage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just in case you're interested, if the phone is purchased from Apple, there's absolutely no carrier branding or marketing included at all. The first notification that the phone is locked to a specific carrier comes when it's powered on.

  10. I think Navigon is the benchmark for turn-by-turn as well. It's excellent! Though I am playing with Waze now and it seems to do a good job on routing.
  11. That's a nice note, but I don't think it will make people happy. The loss of transit directions and spotty international coverage are too difficult to overcome. As for me, I've had access to Apple Maps for several months now and find them superior to Google Maps for iOS in almost every way. I am presumably one of the lucky ones.

  13. I just signed up for your iPhone mailing list. If you're doing a beta via Test Flight, I'd be happy to use and report back to you.
  14. Since this is in "Everything Else" I'm sure the Apple users will find it, if they're interested.
  15. I have been a long-time user of RootMetrics, but I see many here use Sensorly. What advantages do you get? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I can help here. The rule is based on the word's sound, not spelling, so "an LTE" is correct. Consider the opposite case, such as the word "unique". "A unique" is correct because it begins with the consonant Y sound. If you don't know how to pronounce the word, you're hosed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I don't think so. Every first generation iPhone has had potentially significant flaws that were reported by Apple users. iPhone 3G - hairline cracks along the edges of the plastic back; fixed in 3GS iPhone 4 - "AntennaGate"; fixed in 4S iPhone 5 - scuffing What saves Apple is that they are very good about replacing phones for almost any reason. If it's truly a widespread problem, I suspect we'll see the reintroduction of the "Bumper" case, like we got for the 4.
  18. Time will tell, but my guess is this is overblown. I'm more concerned about the ones that are scuffed fresh out of the box, as that suggests poor QC.
  19. Sure, if it's unlocked, it will work. Much better on AT&T because of the frequencies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Okay, I added the pictures back again in thread messages 1 & 3 as full size... You'll need to refresh the thread, but then you should be able to see.
  21. No, I composed on a PC. It's probably the hosting service (imageshack) and resolution I selected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah. It's annoying. Looks okay on a PC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
