  1. I'm having Bluetooth and apps fc / permission issue with this lollipop update

My cars bt, when dialing from the phone our from the car, the audio is piped to the earpiece on the phone even if the bt button is highlighted. Have to click the bt button in the dialer app after a call us connected to get bt to work in the car. Repairing and safe mode made no difference. From googling seem many other suffer from this also

Also have a few app that fc upon boot

Lastly one of my voip app say it was denied permission to the microphone.... Sigh wish Google and sprint did better qa.....

  2. By the same token most of us work without a contract. let say you are expecting your mid month pay day to paid bills that are due, and on the day you are expecting to get pay, they tell you they are changing to a monthly pay cycle. Where all previous indication (ie the days until upgrade count down) have never indicated other wise, let's see how happy you are and if you want to complain or not. Just because something is not in a contract doesn't mean it's right or smart thing to do

Hard to believe this has gone on for 6 pages. Sprint wants to retain customers right now. Until you've specifically been denied a new contract in return for a contract extension, there's nothing to complain about

  3. I have two months left on my contract and I am still eligible for my upgrade.

My wife's upgrade on her account is still there and she is at 21 months on her contract.

Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk 4

There has been post/threads on the sprint.com forum from SprintCare CSR saying people will get their upgrade reset within 48 hours, but other rep are quoting from script about new 24 months policy.

As of this morning mine is still showing as 24 months.

    page 9, 10 for example

  4. You are then going to have to turn in your current phone, if broke they probably wouldn't buy out your contract. Then you are stuck with an ETF, a new phone bill, cost of phone. Is a few months that big of a deal given new Devi es will be out by then?

All my phones are working so i won't have any problems turning them in so they can pay for the ETF.

Cost of new phone... I'm supposed to be getting new phones anyway. what's the difference if the cost is already baked into the existing Sprint subsidy plan? just now breaking it out into the monthly phone installment plan w/ cheaper service plan instead.

  5. or incetivizing you to choose easy pay and the new plans. The hand writing is on the wall for the traditional subsidy model, people complained and complained about how wireless companies where scamming them into rip off contracts and now the industry is moving to no contracts and people complain about pay the cost of the phone. in the end nothing is changing on the price of things overall the money is just getting shift around and the industry is becoming more transparent with the cost of the equipment and that is a good thing.

That is fine, and I'm expecting to goto the phone installment plan option down the road, but they should let people know right from the start when they begin service (new contract or new phone installment plan).  Not change the way upgrade eligibility in the middle of someone service... especially ON THE DAY they are due for the upgrade you take it away from them

  6. They could have done so as they have to change the upgrade eligibility upon the next upgrade.

I have had it with Sprint. They kept doing this to me. Last time when I finally qualify for premier yearly upgrade they canceled premier, then I upgraded and shortly after they went from 22 month to 20 month upgrade cycle, now I was finally on the 20 month cycle and they yank it out from under me the very same day I can take advantage of it.... T-Mobile is looking awfully attractive as you says that sprint will eventually remove the subsidy upgrade option, and I highly doubt whatever plan they force people to change to will not come with an effective price increase

  7. Previously all upgrade eligibility changes i.e. from 20 months to 24 months only take effect upon the NEXT upgrade..... I saw a blurb about eligibility changing again on the Jan/Feb bills taking effect on 3/1/2015 but it did not specify this is retroactive to all users so I didn't pay it much attention.

I have 2 lines due for upgrade 3/1/2015 even as of mid Feb when I last checked on the Sprint website.

To my horror going to the website today (3/1/2015) and trying to upgrade I found that now I can't upgrade until 7/1/2015!!!!!

    W T F !!!

making me wait till 3/1/ to upgrade and  then on the dot on 3/1 saying I can no longer upgrade???

    NOT COOL!

Sprint's own forum is starting to fill up with users in the same boat.

    https://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/customer-service

I would encourage anyone in the same boat to get in touch with Sprint... the more users who cry out about this the more likely we can get our Upgrade back.

If Sprint does not get this taken care of, I'll be taking my 4 lines 10+ years account elsewhere when the contracts on each line are up

  8. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a miracle that a Phablet will be announced together with the M9.... but keeping my expectation low at this point as so far all the rumors leaked pointed to otherwise

  9. Thanks, I wasn't aware that it was changed last year, I upgraded my device at 20 months this year. Adding lines is actually another reason why I was asking, as my daughter is almost ready to have her own.

If you've done amy browsing on the official Sprint community forums, you'd see that it is rife with people who have encountered plan changes and bill increases when upgrading or adding lines. I'm aware that half of those complaints are bred from ignorance, but I've also been on the other side where my wife wasn't informed of the full consequences of making account changes.

That said, it's nice to have a knowledgeable community to turn to to avoid all that nonsense.

The upgrade timing (20 vs 24) is based on your last upgrade.  If the upgraded was before the new policy, then that line would retained the 20 months for the next upgrade,  In you case since you upgraded this year which is after the new policy, if you check your current eligibility for the next upgrade should be using the 24 months cycle

  10. I don't know how I feel about that large fingerprint scanner on the front though why couldn't have been on the back like the one max? That really is only thing that messes up the design aesthetic for me. But can't really tell until you see a live device! But the reg hima m9 is sexy. Side power button and full glass front. Yes please!

You don't want it in the back... Its the bane of my existence... I drive alot and once its in my car mount the finger print sensor become inaccessible, requiring typing in a password instead argh!

  11. My next upgrade is available on March 1st, i'm praying for a Miracle that the rumor of the M9 Max is true and they announce that alongside of the M9 on March 1st.... praying hard indeed! lol (I'm a phablet fan, otherwise i'm stuck deciding between Nexus 6 or Note4)

OMG... My miracle may come true... I need to pray even harder!

  13. Hey guys anyone having issues sending/receiving text while in a phone call on the Nexus 6?  I have always been able to send/receive in the past while talking on the phone.

Do you use Google Voice integration? Texting with GV requires data, there's no 3G/4G for data when you are on a call unless you have Wifi

  14. So I figured out the GPS issues i've been suffering from.

Apparently Wifi Calling was causing it... I'm guessing the Wifi calling E911 feature was overriding the GPS, which makes it so that when i leave the house its not de-overriding correctly meaning I had to reboot my phone everytime I left the house to get GPS working again.
