The network engineers are smart people. They are looking at data usage patterns, the goals of the company, the resources available and deciding what is the best use of the spectrum for their ends.

I have, does that cause problems? Because hd voice seems to work when I make a local call but when I call my brother in a different state it never works.

Well, they keep saying they are going to do it. I can't imagine them backing out, especially given tarek's recent comments.

The answer at the end was perhaps the most encouraging. It looks like sprint is going to pour more money into the network to take advantage of the delay the auction will put in the competition's network planning.

San Diego is horrific. The worst experience on sprint by far. I don't understand why anyone who lives there would choose sprint. But Phoenix has a very serviceable network and one that could easily be a number one in the valley.

I live here. In the east valley I have either b25 or b41 in doors most places I go. Small cells and 20 or so macro sites and Phoenix would be excellent.

Yeah but people on legacy plans never had two years taken away from them. They where offered loyalty credits to inciting them but they weren't forced from them. To my knowledge at least.

So I am assuming you will have to pay more monthly if you are on one of the newer plans. I don't really get the point.

Too bad sprint has wasted a lot of this advantage. The delays in NV 1.0 is the only thing allowing this 5g talk to keep their rivals in the peak speed game. Imagine if sprint's network evolution hadn't lost a year and a half.

Stock buy backs always help investors. It isn't an investment that will increase revenue or profits for the company.

It isn't a matter of taking anyone's word on anything. Funds are fungible is a fact. If I have to projects that need funding and I need to borrow to fund one and find the other out of cashflow it is meaningless to sayer borrowed to fund A but don't worry we didn't borrow to fund B. Because borrowing to fund A allowed you to fund B out of profits or cashflow.

At some point they have to pay back the principle+ a small amount of interest. If their share are undervalued (which they are now worthless than softbank's stake in alibaba so maybe) than I still don't see what this gets them unless they pay dividends which I don't know if they do or not.

I don't get this at all. SoftBank has a nearly 100 billion in debt. To borrow money and pay interest on it to buy back stock, an act that doesn't offer a return on the borrowed money, seems short sighted.

Who cares. The point is they provided usable service. If they are both claiming, it must mean: one, that it is close and two they are using different measures.

So I notice on the announcement it said that it included sprint global roaming. Does this mean if I switched to this plan I can't use open world. Even though I had to reset my iPhone to get it working and then do it again when I got back to the states, once it was working it was pretty awesome to have access to 3G service while traveling abroad. Thanks
