Beam forming and carrier aggregation makes a huge difference. Before those were implemented i couldnt get B41 at my house and inconsistently at work, now both are solid b41 coverage areas for me.

Yeah. Sprint has a consistent issue with talking a big game and then not delivering, going back to wimax. I still can't see them meeting their " first or second in 80 percent of markets" goal by the end of the 18-24 months.

Because they let people doesn't mean that people do it. The program could exist because of its value as a marketing ploy. I think the pace of upgrades has slowed down because older phones are handling the newer os software better and people are taking better care of their phones.

Hence the subjective part. I rarely roam. And the few times i do isnt worth giving up unlimited or the cost premium of other carriers.

Coverage is subjective. So who has the biggest network doesn't mean that much unless you are a cross country truck drive. It does set a lower upper bound on the number of subscribers that sprint could conceivably capture compared to other carriers though.

It depends on the value of the brand. It is hard to measure but if the value of the brand is greater than the cost saving they should keep the way it is. I think they are and have looked at it. I am not sure but i think they already do.

You assume they point of the add was to lure away T-Mobile customers. I dont think it was. It was probably designed to make Att or verizon customers think of sprint before T-Mobile.

So middle class white people shouldn't use the term ghetto in your mind? Ghetto is a term used by level of society by every ethnic group, it is part of vernacular American English. I don't see the problem, except the attempt at language policing by the left nuts. Just out of curiosity if it had been middle Asian Americans would it have been better?

I think their plan is a good one: Densify, maintain price leadership and cut cost. If they focus and execute on that sprint will be fine. The question is weather or not they can execute or the market can support 4 players.

Well, maybe my point of view is skewed by being in a market that has had b41and a second carrier for a while, but i haven't seen any new deployment of b41 since about 6 months ago, certainly haven't run across any new builds and none of the 3g only sites have been converted to LTE. Progress here has been virtually none existent for at least 6 months.

How many markets have been test so far? It might be a bit premature to write this kind of article.
However, it doesnt feel like sprint is making very much progress and the tests so far seem to bare out that feeling.
