And I just got it, the real price is $130 for upgrades. $99 new lines. They included a nice yet cheap TPU rubber case, 2 screen protectors, a car charger, 90 day return/exchange warranty and no $36 activation fee. It was a hassle free experience and the people working there are super nice.
My sister is mad since she paid $236(with activation) for hers last week.

Really? I went to the Plaza Del Sol store yesterday and they quoted me $199.99.

Heads up guys, HTC One with free accessories for $99.99 at Costco (new line or 2yr upgrade)starting today. Going to pick one up as a mothers day gift after I get out of class.

Can't be long, they've been working on it almost daily for the past week.
Yup, been getting out of class late and have seen some activity. Just a long waiting game

Because I travel a lot to the states. Other than that I see no reason for upgrading.

Just got an HTC One for my sister to replace her OG Evo 4g. Its amazing, especially the speakers. HTC sense has come a long way, Its smooth. The camera is great, the ultra pixels work better in low light. But in normal lighting conditions I found the iphone 5's camera is just the same.
I'm due for an upgrade this month but I'll probably hold off until sprint releases the Note III or a significant phone with 800mhz support. For now, I'll hang on to my GS3/IP5
Related to our market I'm desperately waiting for the UPRB site to go live.

My sprint bill arrived today, 3~4months ago I barely used 300mb of monthly data due to terrible network issues. Now i'm averaging around 3~4gb a month of 4g data and 700mb of 3g data according to the bill.

Its good to see progress in the UPRB site. Its the last site on my way from home without LTE. Hoping it goes online soon!

I've done a few trades like this in the past. Make sure its working at the store when you meet. NEVER call CS to check an ESN since they tend to get the numbers mixed up as you read it to them. Another good sign is if he has the original box. I never tend to throw them away, ever.
Get the employee to check the water sensors. They have a special magnifying glass for this.
This is VERY important since you won't see them when you buy it and if your phone has a defect, you won't be covered under warranty.
Also when you activate it, add the insurance for a month at least just to play it safe in case anything comes up.
As for your iPhone, I would keep it, the GS3 is going south once the S4 has been out for a few months. I did a similar trade from my iphone 4s to a galaxy nexus just because it was one of the few phones with LTE at the time. Worst decision ever since iOS had more to offer in the long run and the gnex was nearing its end of life cycle.

I agree 100% for me its the best company when it comes to prices.
$271 a month for 5 smartphones with everything unlimited(family 1500 plan with unlimited incoming calls + 25% American Airlines employee discount)
NV is the icing on the cake since I got used to having terrible service for so long.

Just passed by the UPR Bayamon site, and there was work being performed, including a worker that had climbed up to the tower. LTE may light up soon...

That would be awesome. I'm sick of forcing 3g there to avoid the constant switching while in classes.

I just flew through miami last thursday on my way back to atlanta from st thomas and I had pretty decent lte performance on both my evo and my gnex. I came in on gate D10 and left on D20, just to give an idea of what part of the airport I was on.
Also the switching problem started outside by the curbside american airlines check in counters. Thats where I had to force the phone to 3g in order to get access to the american airlines employee site and get my ticket.
-
That explains, I was at the opposite side on the American Eagle terminal.

Took a mini vacation to Miami last Sunday. It was a one stop trip through Charlotte NC and then to Miami.
When I got to NC I got abysmal LTE speeds at the airport. Then when I landed in Miami, it was even worst. The phone kept switching from LTE non stop. Had to force it to 3g in order to get my boarding pass.
I know these markets haven't been launched but it makes me feel good to know that everything in PR is running great. Hopefully the last metro sites will get LTE by summer.
Also noting, sprint service sucks around my fathers house in Miami Shores. Almost no reception indoors.

Took it to sprint again. They checked the ios diagnostics tool and found the reset counters with boot failures. New phone will arrive by Monday. Ill report back asap.

Does anybody know if there is a similar site to this one where we can see t-mobile or ATT towers and their status?
I highly doubt it. They don't have a Robert.

Most of Ceiba, Luquillo, Rio Grande & Canovanas has no LTE
There are a few sites in the metro area without LTE as well. I'm waiting on the UPR-Bayamon site.

Would it only shut down and not reboot?
My phone has randomly resettled itself a few times. Maybe once every month and a half but no big deal.
I usually reset it once a day to start with fresh memory every morning like Florida's Orange juice. :-)
It shuts down and wont reboot on its own. I need to hold the power button to bring it back to life.
-
Recently I started to experience a problem while using my phone. While over 50% battery I would notice that the phone had shut down and I had to power it again. This isn't a temperature issue since I'm in tropical weather 75-95 F normaly.
I took it to sprint and they couldn't diagnose the problem so I left with my phone. I restored with itunes and still had the same issue. I called Apple and told them about it and since ill be traveling to Miami on the 22nd ill stop by the apple store.
Heres the kicker, i have an otterbox case on my phone and dropped it from my lap at the library. When i picked it up the phone had shut down. Note that it fell 4 ft with the case onto carpet floor. A meaningless drop.
Hopefully i can get a replacement on my trip next week since there are no apple stores in Puerto Rico.
-
I think that's wishful thinking at this point, last time somebody informed me LTE was at 65% 2 weeks ago.
Hence the word "hopefully".
-
Tecnetico reports that sprint has a scheduled press conference in Puerto Rico on April 17. Hopefully all the remaining sites will be launched by then.

The thing is that she lives in Mayagüez, theres nothing other than a coorporate sprint store there. I'm deeply considering getting one for myself, the offer is valid until June 2, 2013.
