  1. I am interested about the performance of Cricket LTE Network.
  2. That is correct that it is not part of the Network Vision Plans to upgrade 4G WiMAX. Your phone will continue to use 4G WiMAX, but it won't be compatible with the new 4G LTE Network.
  3. The Samsung Galaxy S 2 only uses 4G WiMAX Technology provided by Clearwire, and it won't be upgraded anymore in the near future except for backhaul enhancements for Clearwire LTE Technology.
  4. Remember all of the development for Clearwire LTE Network is also through the Global TD-LTE Initiative.
  5. Another point I want to mention and don't want to get to involve on hearing is class action lawsuits. If customers do not see the consistent and seamless service, they would probably start getting frustrated and start threatening class action lawsuits, and the company ends up with this on their sleeve: http://www.denningssettlement.com/ Enough said on saying to wait on capacity enhancements!
  6. Well remember Clearwire is also considering supporting their own customers and their current and future wholesale partners other than Sprint. Why? There is no point on waiting to upgrade a network when it becomes way too unusable, and I don't believe Clearwire has an agreement to utilize Sprint LTE Network like how Sprint has an agreement to utilize Clearwire WiMAX/LTE Network.
  7. Are you referring for Sprint or Clearwire Customers?
  8. Actually there are many towers in multiple markets in need of backhaul and capacity enhancements.
  9. I also encourage this merger to happen especially for some improve Global LTE Roaming Agreements and Developments.
  10. Remember that Sprint doesn't fully own Clearwire yet. It still needs regulatory approval.
  11. Clearwire is planning to upgrade at least 2,000 WiMAX Sites to TD-LTE by June 2013. I am betting that T-Mobile will have more LTE Sites than Clearwire by June 2013 because they were originally planning to convert at least 5,000 WiMAX Sites.
  12. Let me also point out that Clearwire employs a team of Independent Regional LTE Consultants after site selection is done by the Engineering Team.
  13. Clearwire has already started LTE Deployment in some markets. They are almost on the same LTE Deployment Timeline like T-Mobile except T-Mobile is supposedly doing a more widespread deployment. Clearwire is trying to use as much existing equipment as possible because it is more efficient and effective for them.
  14. Clearwire will probably won't have the LTE Coverage Map until they officially launch LTE for the customers which is still months away from a launch date.
  15. Also in some markets, customers may be experiencing faster than usual WiMAX Speed from backhaul enhancements for LTE Upgrade.
  16. There are no plans to replace existing Huawei Equipment, but there are plans to update its existing software to TD-LTE. Deployment has already began in several markets.
  17. Here is an example being completed by China Mobile:
  18. If the WiMAX Site is currently using Samsung or Huawei Equipment, it will be updated via software and the core network equipment will be provided by Cisco and Ciena.
  19. If the WiMAX Site is currently using Motorola Equipment, it will be upgraded to Samsung Equipment.
  20. It looks like DISH was named the Worst Company to Work for in America by 24/7 Wall Street luckily Sprint wasn't listed. Source: http://247wallst.com...es-to-work-for/ http://www.businessweek.com/printer/articles/89174-dish-network-the-meanest-company-in-america I feel sorry for this guy having to wear this Kangaroo Costume.
  21. There are also still many Clearwire WiMAX Sites co-located on Nextel iDEN Sites. I doubt Clearwire can decommissioned all of the Nextel Co-lo Sites due to some of them being high capacity sites and slated for LTE Upgrade. I hope that is a consideration for the tower leases when or if SoftBank takes over control.
  22. I think Comcast and Intel supports the Sprint buyout of Clearwire. That is what matters as they were actually a big investor in Clearwire at a time and willing to now dump their investment like Google. Source: http://www.bloomberg...deal-fails.html
  23. That video shows AT&T using LTE Antennas from Alcatel-Lucent. I am not absolutely sure how the Alcatel-Lucent Antennas for Sprint Network Vision looks like because Sprint is using Ericsson Antennas in my area. Do you know if the Alcatel-Lucent Antennas from AT&T looks similar to the Alcatel-Lucent Antennas that Sprint is using?
  24. Here was that dispute with Leap Wireless (Cricket) and Sprint: http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/leap-we-wont-make-75m-payment-sprint-2012-network-access/2012-08-06
