I also wonder if Sprint has 64 qam on upload. Doesn't seem like it. UnfortunatelyIt's 2xCA UL that's giving them that.

I might was thinking TMO or vzw. I'll see. Does the unlocked S9+ have B14? I can't remember
It’s on in the rural areas. A 10 MHz channel and a 5 MHz channel. Saw it at Jay Cooke and up in Eveleth. Nothing in the city yet. You might want to activate an AT&T prepaid sim if you’re going to be up here longer than a few days. AWS is a 20 MHz carrier now and there’s lots of B14 and 66.

Well phone is unlocked [emoji6]. Tho I don't wanna give up my Kickstarter plan. 29 bucks after tax and fees. You might not know any B71 there on T-Mobile yet?Nothing I’ve seen beyond what’s already there. Mall area is lacking it... where other carriers have tons of spectrum deployed and Verizon is even building small cells. Good luck.

Yeah only happen if they partner with dish or dish owns them and then Dish pays to roll it out. Not sure how hard it is to add B71 to Sprints existing equipment. I can be done thoConsidering they would not be able to afford to roll it out anyway. I would say the chances are 1-2%. It would be better spent on the on going network because 600 million is not much money at all in telecommunications. That's like 1.5 months worth of upgrades.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Got ya. Sprint needs that more than anyone else.I have not heard of any such capabilities. Even the FCC docs only mention 2XCA upload. No carrier is doing CA upload on FDD so I dont think it can.

Do you know if the Galaxy S10 can do B25+25 upload CA? I've have heard that phone can do upload CA on FDD.It does. B41 helped b25 even more than it helped b26. Add 4x4 mimo and 256qam plus 10mhz and even further band 25 coverage which helps b26 by keeping people off of it more often and they have something. However b26 still needs to be aggregated because it's still really slow. It helps the other carriers alot by doing this and Sprint should have followed suit years ago.

Has Sprint done any triband upgrades to add B41 too Duluth yet? I'm going there next month and Sprint was terrible there in the past.

In Ocala Sprint is like a completely different network. And Verizon is slowing down fast.

I think the higher BW on B25 helps along with B41

Unfortunately and I don't like it. I live in Minnesota and ever summer I go up north which has had very little B41 so the network was completely unusable even upload pics would fail. There was no excuse for that either, cause they have enough spectrum for 10x10 B25 there it's only 5x5 tho Hope it's better this summer cause of tri band upgrades. My point is that spectrum is available, Sprint just decided to keep upload speeds alot less of a priority.Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

On B41 wouldn't it need 3xca up and 64qam? B25 in areas that have higher BW then 5x5.Sprint could easily achieve comparable uploads with 1.9 or 2.5.

I know what you mean. It worked great when I had the Galaxy S8.I’ve gotten so used to VoLTE on my iPhone XS that I can’t imagine not having it.I’m just stunned at the delays.

Accept sometimes vzws uploads are not that slow. It's possible to get 50-60 up on VZW. I don't think we will ever see that on Sprint. Tmobile yes. They could use LTE for upload and then NR for down and TMO has much more spectrum to use for uploadsVerizon also is showing pretty low upload speeds on 5G. Are they both just aggregating NR on an LTE carrier?

No clue. It did pop up one time on my phone n lasting like 2 mins then never again. I'm not buying a new phone just to get it either. I know I have the unlocked model but that shouldn't matter. Sprint models don't have it eitherThis is getting ridiculous. What’s the reason for the hold up?

No clue all I know is I can't talk and surf on my S9+That’s crazy it’s taking so long for VoLTE to launch on the S9/Note 9.
So if the S9 was the Test device (and I think it had to be based on the test cycle) it was running on CDMA for voice.

Still no VOLTE on the S9 or note 9True. I’m curious what Test devices were used.
Does the S9 support VoLTE at this point? (I know the S8 and S10 do.)
If an S9 was used, it speaks to the state of Sprint’s CDMA Network during testing.
Otherwise if an S10 (or iPhone XS/Max) was used with VoLTE enabled, you’re spot on about VoLTE being launched. Otherwise, it was pulling the same CDMA.

I'm all for not using att. The more people that leave the 5GE carrier the better. Was just asking why not TMO or Sprint?I haven't found T-Mobile's coverage to be great, especially out in the suburbs Sprint definitely has superior coverage overall imo. And why Verizon? because screw AT&T I've had them before but never again.

Why VZW? Tmobile is doing good on LTE coverage and Sprint will likely end up with a cable company.Really hope this doesn't get shot down, because that means I have to jump ship to Verizon.

They did do that however they have said both parties will likely approve or disapprove still the first week of JunePerhaps he’s looking at the calendar as the Merger deadline for Sprint/T-Mobile is July 29, 2019: https://www.engadget.com/2019/04/29/t-mobile-sprint-merger-deadline-delay/
Would they keep pushing this back?
Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

If the Merger fails, I think he will sell them off to some cable or Dish. However they are still confident it will pass.
Same thinking here :
Masa: what are you thinking at the moment ???

Hey Tim how many cell sites actually have 256 qam on it?64 QAM 2x2 MIMO 20 MHz Config 2
3 x 112.5 = ~ 337.5 mbps
256 QAM 4x4 MIMO 20 MHz Config 2
3 x ( 112.5 x 1.33 ) ( 2 ) = 3 x ( 150 ) ( 2) = 3 x 300 = ~ 900 mbps aka gigabit class LTE.
