I also think the B29 Dish would likely end up with att as it's only 5x0 and makes no since for anyone else. Unless New TMO wants a Extra 5x0. For att visit would allow them to go from 5x0 to 10x0.If something like this were to pass, I expect that T-mobile could host Dish's AWS-3 and 600Mhz holdings without a tower visit. Dish's band 70 would probably require new RRH's so Dish would need to pay some money to deploy that spectrum. But the AWS-3 and 600Mhz can be hosted right away with no fuss or muss.Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

I still think the Merger will pass. The FCC has given it a yes. In history the DOJ has never gone against the FCC. If they did that would be waters never gone to before. This may force him to. Although, they will try to get in bed with someone else, it will be a lot harder to create another deal with someone else. Dish doesn’t have the resources to make this work.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which it doesn't seem he is willing to doIf you were ever curious about how many Sprint shares John Saw owned: https://rocklandregister.com/2019/05/30/john-saw-sells-22866-shares-of-sprint-corp-s-stock.html
It may be restating the obvious, but there’s a strong financial incentive for this merger to go through for a number of folks.
Aside from being against the merger because it will permanently reduce competition in the market, part of me wants the merger to fail and Masa to be stuck holding the bag on Sprint, not just out of spite, but because I don’t want him to have an easy exit due to his mismanagement of Sprint.

All of that is just rumors giving to spectrum has not actually been talked aboutYup! So, if this report is accurate it’s another way of saying we don’t want this deal, but if you want it that bad this is what we are willing to take

Which defeats the Merger as 5G will need 100 mhz of spectrum topsYup, if tmo wants the deal that bad spectrum will have to be divested even low band with a mix of 2.5 .. and then the new tmo will have to enable roaming on its network at a good wholesale price

Pretty much isI think the whole entire suggestion of the 2 smallest carriers create a competitor is absurd!

Is it possible to keep Sprint then but let them Merge but still Merger the networks and shutdown CDMA liked planned. Basically you could get a plan for TMO or Sprint but the phone runs off the combined network using all bands? 2/25,4/66,12,26,71Uhhh boy... Where does this madness stop?! Really?! Set up a 4th competitor?! What???

Or B26 is congested since it's likely not aggregated with another bandSo I think my 10+ might be developing the LTE issue, 3 bars of B26 nothing is loading, really hope this is just a tower issue and not my phone don't wanna start over again.

Some things are just wrong with Sprint. People with the Sprint model have seen B25+26 CA yet the unlocked model can't access it. No option in the debug menu. Only Sprint does that. 25-25+26 would make way more since then just one B25. I've seen the others do 3 laa tdd carriers with one or even two FDD carriers. I've seen as high as 5xca on Att. On TMO,vzw and att carrier locked and unlocked models all get the same CA combosSprint could do this too and they are not at least where I can see it. It has been talked about, but I do not see it on my S-9.

Tmobile will likely do that tho. They could even do B41 5GNR aggregated with there FDD LTE to help with uploadDeployment of all of the spectrum would have led to a headache for Sprint when it came time to deploy 5G. Imagine Sprint having to explain to their entire user base why their speeds dropped by 50% seemingly overnight because they need to use it for 5G. When T-Mobile switched from AWS to PCS HSPA+ they started off by seeding the user base with PCS HSPA capable devices, something that Sprint can't do since there are only 2 5G devices that can be used on Sprint today and the launch is in 3 days.
What I think Sprint should've done by now across the country is TDD-FDD carrier aggregation between Band 41 and Band 25/26.

VZW wins the upload testNice to see this!

Will TMO also aggregated it will LTE to help with upload speeds? They certainly can. 100Mhz of Band 41 can provide several hundreds of Mbps of throughput. They can aggregate it with their mmWave holdings in certain cities for gigabit speeds.

yes they will. My area will have a total of 20x20,10x10 and 5x5. That's all with CDMA and H+ being shutdownMagic Boxes can fall back to B25 if B41 is not available from the macro network. Sprint B25 will be combined with T-Mobile B2 and will very likely use MFBI. Using MFBI, B2 can broadcast simultaneously as B2 and B25. New T-Mobile should have a very large amount of bandwidth available for the combined 1900mhz B2/25. The big question is: will New T-Mobile reserve the 20mhz of B41 bandwidth necessary for Magic Boxes to broadcast their own B41?

Yeah if the H Block was completely B25 compatible then I'm sure Sprint would have tried to get it.Looks like that would be band 70 which no devices currently support. I see now.Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

If you add Sprints additional PCS along with B26 it would help. Unlike Sprint TMO will aggregate B26. In my area New Tmobile will have enough total PCS spectrum for 20x20,10x10 and 5x5. All that is when 2G and H+ are shutdown. With those still there then 10x10 will be 2 5x5'sI think all those bands minus band 41 would handle the influx of Sprint customers.

Off topic does your pixel 2 get VOLTE?Every time something gets leaked to the media the stock prices take wild swings. Just alluding to how comical it all seems.

Well right now I pay 29 dollars on Sprint and do those plans have high speed?...and the government Does not control that. You can also go with Trac Phone for $30 or $40 a month.

Well VZW charges thatWhere does the government "now" control our cell phone prices? This is news to me? Where do you come up with $100?
Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

If govt didn't control that a single line could cost 100 Bucks a month. I get it takes capital but I refuse to pay anything over 60 bucks a month. I live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford the plans other people pay.I think that is totally unrealistic and completely bad! That is a completely protectionist approach in a free market. The market should drive prices not artificial price freezes. Network Investment takes capital. Terrible idea. Government should stay out of setting prices.

That I agree withOne of the things I read was instead of 3 years for no price hikes, they want 7 years.

I think the combined company could over take att. Might take serval years but they could.Reducing spectrum would be a dumb thing to have them do. That is the whole point of the merger is being able to compete against the 2 giants. Sprint and T Mobile will still be smaller than either of AT&T and Verizon. Their spectrum is their only strong point over their competitors.I think that is more garbage news. The DOJ has to make a decision. Let's hope there are no more divestitures.
Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

I have no clue what that means? They want more market swings??

Like what? Better not be spectrum. They need it all for 5G.
The only thing is although they are aligned .. Fox buinsess is reporting the DOJ wants more concessions
